    Your tree was impeccable!! It's sad to take down Christmas decor, but there is nothing like the peace of mind when things are packed away nicely 😌

    I'm an "Organized Annie" too, Makes things easier to find , Sometimes I make a list of the storage. Like I did my deep freezer yesterday when I reorganized it Now when I want to find a pkg of meat I know where it is the freezer. And I know if I need to buy more or not. Now I need to get at my plastic container storage... (ugh it's a mess right now)

    I made my own tree stand
    Went out and got a heavy pretty ceramic pot
    Took the tree stand that came with the tree
    Put it in the pot and filled it up with Quick Crete
    It’s been in used for 18 years
    And during the summer months it’s used outside as a plant stand
    Got to say that pot is heavy 😆

    I wanted to see how you take the tree down and put it in the bag. That's because I have a tree bag but haven't used it because I can't visualize how to do it the best way with the metal pieces of each tree section. I don't want them to rip through the bottom of the bag. So, lol, don't be skipping parts, lol. That might be exactly what someone else needs. 😀

    Never knew the comment about the bubble wrap. Have come to love the smaller tubs because I can more easily carry them especially having to bring stuff up from the basement. It also has helped me keep things more to a minimum (by no means a minimalist). If it doesn't fit in the box then I rearrange or get rid of something because I don't want to start a new box.

    I put Christmas music when I put up and take my tree down. I also store ornaments by color and label.

    Your coffee is my Tea. Normally “Decaffeinated” Teas or Herbal Teas. Now, remember if your doing this and let’s say your doing all of upstairs (We have trees in each bedroom) I do one room (like the Master Bedroom and Master Bathroom together) and then I take a break and get something to eat and drink and then go clean the entire Master Suite. Then, when I am done I will take apart the Hallway Bathroom’s and clean them. Then I spend short periods taking stuff to the laundry room and do laundry. Then in the evening I take what is dry and folded and put in storage totes. The upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms take me 3 or 4 days and then the Living Room, Family Room and Dining Room take me another day, the Kitchen takes me a full day to get everything down and deep clean with a friend and then my other half gets to put it all away. So, once everything is gone I take another 2 days and really deep clean so that I have got everything. So, a good 8 maybe 9 days to get everything done. Since my other half is good at putting it all away I am good with it all and I also ask him for help with all the High Stuff since I am 5’2” tall. Lol

    you have 6ft bags hanging from hooks in the garage? eek! sounds spooky! well, until i saw the handles were meant to hang them horizontally... though if you did it vertically you could throw a sheet over them for instant ghosts for halloween

    You can wrap your lights around hangers and then hang them for storage.

    • @PK-bh1ww
      @PK-bh1ww 2 года назад +1

      But then you have to spend time and effort to string them back up on the tree plus have another space to store them. . This way the work is half way done and no extra space is needed. Plus less chance if breakage. :-)

      @astatine0085 2 года назад

      @@PK-bh1ww well, true, but I just store my trees in a closet under the stairs, upright. So I don't use the bags. And I only get plastic / acrylic lights.

    Exactly how I do it. I use the large tubs and had to buy a new one this year. luckily, my ornaments don't weight much but my decor does. I have to store in a closet for now, until I get my own place, but I'm definitely going to switch to smaller tubs. I did separate ornaments this year and have placed in square gift boxes. I may need to swap the tubs to put the heavier one on the bottom. I don't do anything with the tree, I just leave it up with the 4ft Santa in the back room. I'm not packing those up. If they were mine I would put in a tote or wrap up.
