Mom called it ‘rope’. She grew up in the 30s and the old garland I remember as a child looked more like rope . It was about as round as a nickel and was pleated foil twisted around string. Our tinsel was very fragile and could break easily. We saved the tinsel and reused it. ( poor people)!⭐️🎄
I lost my ornament hooks every year. I finally decided to tape the package to the lid of the storage box. That way I didn’t lose anymore hooks. Just a simple thing to help me be more organized!❤
Oh Gosh, LIZ, you had SO MANY GREAT ONES that I'm going to have to write them down to remember the ones I LOVED!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! THESE WERE WONDERFUL!!!!!
I would paperclip (white ones) the bag snowflake so you can close it for storing for next year : thrift store pile. And if you spray paint them, they could be water / moisture resistant for hanging from outside trees.
Balloon hack blew me away! 🎈🎈 Brilliant. There are metallics gold, silver, copper, pearl options, pewter, blacks, tans and charcoals. Balloon colors are endless as is the size you choose to fill them. THANKS LOVE! OH, I almost forgot, You can use ping pong balls to insert your lights into and ANY small bauble shape any color or opacity will work also! I shove lights into house ornaments, church ornaments etc.
Where on earth do you get all these ideas??? I am always amazed at what you come up with! LOVED the paper bag snowflake! You also have such a pleasant happy voice, so refreshing in this crazy world! Thank You Liz!
All of them were great. I've been doing the cardboard thing for Christmas lights for years. Another thing you can use is a paper towel roll. You won't have the lid like the oatmeal container, but you can cut slits in the ends to hold the plugs of the lights.
Thank you for sharing all those beautiful ideas I love them and my 3 favorite ones are the balloons and the glass jars with the red ribbon ❤ and I think my number 1 is the snow ❄️ flake
Hi Liz, I love the Christmas trees, the vase with the red ribbon so cute. The snow men and the Oreo cookie, heck, you know I’m loving them all. LOL…. T y for sharing.❤🥰
Wow! I just can't pick a favorite. I love all of them! If I had to pick I think I love the snowflake bags and the wrapped ribbon around the glass cylinder.
i love them all and have to save and watch again. you are so crafty when i grow up i want to craft like you lol about the growing up part. thanks for sharing
From one Liz to another....love all your DIYs...especially the paper bag snowflake! You are so talented! I always enjoy your watching your videos. Thanks for sharing !🙂👍❤
We've used wrapping paper tube (when the kids haven't used them as swords) to wrap our lights. Also you can use the kids stuffed animals as ornaments if you do a themed tree. We counted 35 panda bears one year so we had a panda tree. We bought a h panda head for a costume as the tree topper and it was great. Use any animals/ toys. The boys want a matchbox tree this year so I'm looking out for a topper that would work. I have everything else already.😂
Just be sure the lights you put the ornaments over don't get too hot. I had a string of lights that were hot enough to turn the tree brown where they touched it. I recycled them..
✍Hi Liz...What a great idea. We bought a box of white lunch bags a few years ago for a project and have quite a few left over and didn't know what to do with them other than the usual bag lunch but we have no use for that either and didn't want to just throw them away so...this will be fun for me cause I'm the crafter here in the house. Thanks for the idea ❄ All of the Christmas ideas were great🎄 Good Night😴 God Bless Bye from Ohio 🌹
Christmas hacks🎄 Will definitely be using these hacks! Loved all of them Liz. Especially the dollar tree vase what a great way to dress them up without putting them away. You inspired me to glue rhinestones, snowflakes, or buttons on ribbon to give it that next level of sparkle✨
Love your Mantel Garland layering idea!! I’m hoping that your White Oreos taste like the ones that Nabisco has out during the Holiday season. We love them but they’re expensive & harder to find each year
Love them all but really like the ribbon on the vase
Thanks for your comment

What you call tinsel I have always called garland lol. Tinsel to me is the silver stringy light catching extremely thin ribbon.
I agree.
Me Too, Tinsle.
Liz I'm from the Ole' School. lol...

My favourite was the lunch bag ❄️ snowflake. I would add some glitter😉
Balloons 🎈 was awesome
Christmas hacks🎄 Favorite was star with white lunch bags and garland hack
My favorite is the bed risers for the tree. There's just not enough room under the tree to get boxes or bags of gifts. Love this idea!
if you want to keep your star/snowflake, use mini velcro dots. I have two I made about 7 years ago. I fold them down and put it away each year.
Yes
I'd tie a ribbon around the cookie package for a little scarf! 😅
I lost my ornament hooks every year. I finally decided to tape the package to the lid of the storage box. That way I didn’t lose anymore hooks. Just a simple thing to help me be more organized!❤
I'm doing that bed riser trick this year! I love those paper snowflakes too.

Loved the bed riser idea. Solves the "no room for presents under the tree" problem. Genius!!
Lights look great on the garland for the mantel.

Love the candle, cool whip, bed riser, and Ballon hack. Although, pretty sure the balloons will pop.
I love the glass containers with the ribbon and candles, great idea. Nice and decorative too .
Okay first hack and I had to pause to comment. Balloons on trees are genius! Bonus that my little one will love playing them!

All of them were great. I've been doing the cardboard thing for Christmas lights for years. Another thing you can use is a paper towel roll. You won't have the lid like the oatmeal container, but you can cut slits in the ends to hold the plugs of the lights.

Hi Liz, I love the Christmas trees, the vase with the red ribbon so cute. The snow men and the Oreo cookie, heck, you know I’m loving them all. LOL…. T y for sharing.❤🥰
I used the dollar tree purple lid snap containers for my lights. You can thread it packed in from the flip top so it’s easy to unravel as you decorate
Like the risers to add height
Love the snowman and the glass with the ribbon s s the candle
I use pipe cleaners ,the color matches the tree and they don't damage the ornaments.
Great hacks! I really liked the tinsel hack, cool whip shapes and the Oreo snowmen.
These are really good hacks!! ❤
Thanks Liz for sharing these amazing hacks. Looking forward for more to come. God bless 🙌 🙏 ❤️ 💖 ✨️
