- This video reviews the step-by-step method to activate and use the WiFi Direct of HP Deskjet 2700 series all-in-one printer. WiFi Direct is inbuilt WiFi system of the printer and we can directly connect any device with it for wireless scanning and printing. Video tutorial reviews the method in a step-by-stem manner to easily connect the printer with Smart Phone and reviews the wireless scanning and printing. For real though. This damn printer has absolutely no damn instructions and says “3 eAsY steps” just to piss you off even more. You download the app, connect to it, and follow the app instructions which is does not have. Its a stupid design on how to use cause all I want to do is just print a damn piece of paper.

Ok I did get it to print finally! But I couldn't figure out how to make the picture I was trying to print smaller . There was only two options which was fill to page or fit to page . Made no sense .

I hope at least one person at HP with some gray matter in his/her cranium and a little authority reads through these comments and recognizes how much *work* needs to be done in the communication department at that company in the process of dealing with their customers. There's no reason that thousands of people should experience so much misery to accomplish something as simple as printing out a few pages!

Excellent explanation! I have been stressed out for 2 years to figure out how to make this printer work. I don't print at home very often, but when I need to it is important to get it done. I stopped using it a year ago and only recently needed to use it to make copies, but certainly could not print off of my cell phone still. I made one more attempt yesterday and today to try to figure this out, however, I gave up and was ready to purchase a different brand tomorrow. Thank you so much for saving me another expense and most certainly my sanity!

Hi, thank you very much for this guide. A small question: When I print a document from my mobile phone using hp 2775 printer, even if I select "Black" option, it gets printed in color, leading to quick depletion of color ink cartridges even for black prints. I could change this on laptop by using "Greyscale" option, but there is no such option when printing from mobile. Please help.

So can you not be on your WiFi network while using your wireless printer? You must exit out of your internet connection to connect to the printer in order to print and scan? I’m trying to use it with my laptop.
