I will say that I put two full ink jets in, expecting to save the free ones for next time, but it would not work until I had put the two included cartridges in.

This printer series when using Copy from the printer does not include any controls for size / resize. Use the HP Smart app to print, scan, copy, and fax
To copy (Android, iOS only), open the Copy tile, use the camera to capture a document or photo, select the size and number of copies, and then print the item in color or black and white.

@@Vinneltv I’m unable to register into the ink cartridge…… it’s saying unable to connect to printer and things like that
This is the link to register for ink: instantink.hpconnected.com/us/en/l/v2?jumpid=va_65bsqvipye. However, you need to set up your printer first. To set up your printer you need to put the printer in wireless mode by pressing the WIFI button and Cancel button together for 3 seconds and the printer button would start to flash then download the HP Smart app then search for your printer. Where you get the wifi details
You get the WiFi details from your Internet service provider
I mean the wifi password, I just set up mine and I’m going on my wifi and connecting with the printer and then asking password, I don’t know which password
If you have Internet broadband at home or office you need the password for your network connect to connect your printer, just like how you connect your mobile phone to wireless network . You can do automatic wireless connection and then print out wireless report or network configuration to see your WiFi password details. Check the WiFi details on the back of your router as well

Installation went easily though the HP Smart Printing doesn't work well with our laptops - having to select the actual device. Will have to see how the HP Instant Ink program works out. Plus haven't been able to set up printing from smartphone yet - either direct or WiFi

You need to reset the printer to put it in a wireless mode then use your own WIFI network password to connect the printer , Press the wifi button and cancel button for three second the printer will flash and then wifi button would start blinking.

This printer Connectivity : High-speed USB 2.0 Connectivity. So it is not a wireless printer you need to connect this with USB Cable that is why there is no wifi icon on the printer see the link to the USB cable geni.us/DdR4Z to connect to Laptop

@Andrew Heaton, check the ink cartridges and make sure you remove the plastic that covers them, Hope the ink cartridges have not run out? also login to your HP account as some features may not be available if you don't sign in to your HP account during wireless set up.

@@Vinneltv yes i have wifi, and the model of the printer is the "2720e", I am using the HP smart App to connect the printer but I always get the message "impossible connecting the printer to the Wi-FI".

App does not recognise printer the2700e is not on the list of printers. Then it connects i get 1 copy then it stops and theres no wat l can start it awhile it has its own email adress
Just wasted 120 dollars for this online working wifi only crap of new era of unpractical overcomplicated hussle they brag us...why i cant simply connect d...printer via usb download drivers and use it without they bothering apps and wifi networks setups just to print or scan d...file?Thanks for nothing HP.

Thank you. However, the HP 'smart' app is unreliable and basically a scam because the company withdraws support about 2 years after a model is sold.
The intention is to force people to buy new printers and go through the whole process again with other lower cost HP products.
This practice is cynical and such as education authorities in the UK and EU are examining long term contracts and planning legal cases.
