[Melt index][Melt flow index] Melt Index Measurement According to Method B

Demonstration of melt flow index measurement according to method B by GÖTTFERT. The machine model used in the demonstration is GÖTTFERT mi2.2 Melt Flow Indexer.
The mi2-series of melt flow rate testers (plastometers) from GÖTTFERT offers a simple way to determine MFR (melt flow rate) and MVR (melt volume rate). Due to the modular design of this series, it is possible to automate the execution of the melt flow rate measurement increasingly. The testers can be used as stand-alone units or with a PC to manage the test parameters and results.
All plastometers sold by GÖTTFERT are equipped with a piston-speed-sensor and can measure automatically according to ISO 1133 Procedure B and ASTM D1238 Procedure B.
With the optional cutting device, the measurements can also be evaluated according to ISO 1133 Procedure A and ASTM D1238 Procedure A.
With additionally available special capillaries, measurements according to ASTM D1238 Procedure C or ASTM D3364 can also be performed.
