I didn't even play Halo 2 as a child and it still fills me with nostalgia
I'm 17-y.o. girl from Russia and I'm a big lover of Oni (2001), so, I know, that its intro is completely different from this (0:59)! The original PC/Mac Oni intro was nearly the same as PS2 intro, but it was without 'Rockstar' part (and it was rendered in 15fps with Bink Video codec). So, I think, that you need to ask some Oni lovers for original intro.

Wish they kept their 96' logo all throughout Halo 1 and 2, since I think it fits the aesthetic of Halo better. Their Halo 3 logo is my personal favorite, the music and the hologram look of it stand out from the rest.

I was born in 1995 and never played any of the games before Halo: Combat Evolved. I will miss the legendary intros of 2001-2007 that were Halo themed (not really Halo 3 to Halo: Reach).
you really should play the marathon games if you havent already. they are freaking awesome! best of all bungie open sourced them a long time ago and there are a ton of mods and a specific launcher called aleph one to start the games!

This shows the same sequence for Myth I, II and Oni, but each game had slightly different versions of the "black hole" sequence. The one shown here is Myth II's logo sequence.

@@Deadchannel06 Well, Joe Staten is the creative lead for Halo Infinite campaign. So I guess we can say 343i TODAY (not the 343i that made Halo 5) is closer to original Bungie than Bungie is. The irony is so magnificent, I was blinded, dumbstruck, paralyzed…😂
