I had to mute the audio in a couple of places because of the copyrighted music, just fyi. You can find the links to the original videos in the description.
Summer Glau is so freaking good. No color, no music and a stationary camera. No production help necessary.. All she needs is herself and her boatload of talent.
I'm sure we'd all be love to re-watch the entire series and movie again with you!!! No better way to relive the happiness, sorrow, and pain than having a Firefly Support Group! We've probably all seen it numerous times each anyway. Time to catch up.... What are you waiting for Andy?!!! Move it or lose it!!! 😂
Your final remark about having to rewatch the series is the "price of admission" for watching the show. It's frustrating and heartbreaking, but still so good that it becomes a part of you, like an old friend. Look forward to many rewatches in the future.😢😊😮
This last year I've been watching different reactors react to Firefly and Serenity. And I have yet to see anyone not love this show once they watched the series and the movie.
Suggestion for a "ranking"--Make Top 3 lists: Top 3 I'd want with me in a dark alley, Top 3 I'd like to watch a movie with; Top 3 I'd go to a pub with, etc. Btw, have really appreciated your reactions. Proud to have you as a fellow brown-coat. Stay shiney!
32:18 "PTSD". Yup. It's *always* too soon. It's official, you're a true Browncoat - 'oh no, I'm reminded of the heartbreak. I'll have to watch it again." Welcome ❤
Have to rewatch this gorram series over and over because it is so (some Chinese cursing…. A long) good. Damn… I will be in my bunk watching firefly again…. 😂
It speaks well of the world-building of this show that you were taken aback by your realization that “the spaceship isn’t real,” they’re not really in outer space. Not to mention the emotional attachment to the show and its characters that you and so many others experienced *with ONLY a half-season’s worth of episodes.* btw, it’s good that you watched the River Tam Sessions in the order that you did. Ending with River wanting to borrow the writing implement brings the realization of what led to what you saw with the first segment, a gurgling and gasping man, and River’s bloody hand held up to the window.
I love your reactions. I would also recommend, maybe not a reaction, but "Done the Impossible" documentary hosted by "Jane". It is a wonderful tale about this entire fan base and show. Much love and keep on keepin on J.
When they showed the crew you made a comment about about the ship was not there. Actually Serenity was there. They had built a mockup of the ship with the portside (left) wall missing so they could film somebody going from one end to the other and it would be realistic. Joss Whedon also had the actors take their breaks and lunches in the mockup so they would get more of a homey feeling towards Serenity. Also when Nathan Fillion was well into doing Castle he did an interview and said the most fun he ever had doing a show was when he was doing Firefly. Great reactions Andelian, you were great.
The Love Boat was an American television series in the 1970s. It was about a comedy about a cruise ship with a crew that got up to high jinks. Each week there were famous guest stars that would find romance on board, hence the name.
Ande, I have a feeling you would have been in that original group of Browncoats that fought so hard to keep this story alive back in the day. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching you fall in love. ❤
That was a super video Lady A. Love your shirt, necklace and hat all are very cool. I did miss your WOW mug though. You are a true browncoat My Lady, I do not know how you can list the characters except to maybe say one was funnier or wilder. Always love watching your videos you are just to cool.
(Pure speculation to follow) I think that if the series had continued that we would have learned that both Simon and River were genetically engineered for high intelligence by the alliance. Their parents were aware of this. The deal was that the parents get Simon and the scientists get River. This is why the father tries to dissuade Simon from rescuing River. He knows what is going on.
I definitely agree that River was created. Could be one reason for the age gap between Simon and River. And definitely the father was in on the whole thing. Explains the parents lack of concern over River. They really only cared about the naturally conceived child.
I think it was in the DVD extras where they mentioned that Summer Glau had a habit of messing up her lines which is why they started yelling "Summer!" when anyone else did.
According to IMDB, it started because she forgot a line at the end of a long, difficult scene in Objects in Space, but according to Nathan Fillion, it was because she so rarely messed up that the others made a joke of blaming her whenever they did, so who knows, really. Given how few Summer bloopers we see in these reels, though...I'm inclined to believe Nathan.
I’m not sure how well any sort of “ranking” or characters would play out overall, but as for what you said about no one caring about such a vid later on down the line…..? Browncoats are loyal. And we’ve been forced to learn patience. Do a vid as it comes to you, browncoats will be grateful. If I haven’t said it before, thank you for taking this journey with the insight, thoughtfulness and compassion that you’ve demonstrated. Wear the coat with pride.
This was a great watch. Esp the River Tam Sessions, which I think it one of the better Firefly reels. My understanding is that it was a planned leak on the net, as they knew people would find it themselves. As for rankings, its hard, everyone is #1 right? So ... here are catgegories like you were thinking of doing (with my vote). Perhaps you can use some of them. - Funniest : Without a doubt Wash - Sweetest: Again, without a doubt, Kaylee. (However, she does have a hidden freakly side.) - Most mysterious: Shepard Book. Who the hell is this guy right? - Most clueless: Simon. The guy's a genius, but where common sense or women are concerned ... nope. - Most I hate that I like him: Jayne. I mean c'mon, the guy has a song written about him. - Most person I'd want in a clutch situation: Mal. Without a doubt. - Most loyal: Zoe. Outside of Mal, she'd be the one I'd want in a fight. - Most poise, beauty, and grace: Inara. #1 on all of those things - Most badass: River. hands down, River. (Zoe comes in close, but yeah, River is a badass among badasses.) And, runner up prize, best non-crew character: Yo-Saph-Bridge. Just cause thos episodes were freakin awesome.
6:03 - What Dr Mattias let her see by placing all the politicians, military leaders ... in a room ... with a psychic. Stated, and moved on. Blink and you miss it. And the next topic is the death of their previous "Project Assassin-Spy", so the distraction is quite strong...
Are you familiar with D&D alignments? (3x3 Grid, top to bottom Good, Nuetral, Evil. Left to right, Lawful, Neutral, Chaotic) For example, Niska is evil, but he has a warped code (Zoey lived), so lawful evil. Badger's only principle is what is good for him and hs actions are harder to guess - Chaotic (yes, evil,. We don't see him torchuring anyone but I'm sure has order his thugs with guns to kill sometimes.)
I had to mute the audio in a couple of places because of the copyrighted music, just fyi. You can find the links to the original videos in the description.
Filion and Tuduk should never be left unattended. There's a video from Dragon Con of them prank calling the rest of the cast during a panel.
Even though it's bitter-sweet to return to Firefly, I'm still glad you did it. Really like your reactions.
Thank you! 😊
Summer Glau is so freaking good. No color, no music and a stationary camera. No production help necessary.. All she needs is herself and her boatload of talent.
Don't worry, we've all been there. Hugs...and yep, rewatching is the way to go. ❤️
Ain’t that the truth? So well said, as usual, my fellow Ern! Can’t stop the signal…
@@Ernwaldo thanks, Ern! Keep on flying!
Rewatching it with a friend who is new to it is probably the best way to do it.
Might be why reaction channels do so well.
Nice HAT!
You see a woman in a hat like that ... ... ...
I'm sure we'd all be love to re-watch the entire series and movie again with you!!! No better way to relive the happiness, sorrow, and pain than having a Firefly Support Group! 15:52-16:27 is a takeoff on the opening credits for the Love Boat, a TV series from the later 70's and 80's
Your final remark about having to rewatch the series is the "price of admission" for watching the show. It's frustrating and heartbreaking, but still so good that it becomes a part of you, like an old friend. Look forward to many rewatches in the future.😢😊😮
Can't stop the signal. 😭
There are the books too. And they are canon.
It’s a really good show to rewatch, very comforting ❤. I’m glad you did these!
This last year I've been watching different reactors react to Firefly and Serenity. And I have yet to see anyone not love this show once they watched the series and the movie.

Hi, Ande. 👋🏻 Thanks for sharing your reaction to all these clips. So much nostalgia already. Good… and bad. Cheers!
I love your reactions. I would also recommend, maybe not a reaction, but "Done the Impossible" documentary hosted by "Jane". It is a wonderful tale about this entire fan base and show. Much love and keep on keepin on J.
Watch it again. Not for your viewers, for yourself. It's worth it!
Joss Whedon, the show’s writer and creator, is the man in the R. Tam sessions.

Now that I think about my wording more... I think that Simon was the product that the Tams were provided and that River was the payment.
Thank you for doing Tam Sessions in the correct original order ♥

Good Plan. Definitely re-watch the series. And also look into some of the other things these wonderful people did after this.
Watch deleted scenes - especially the one about Serenity Valley.
Another video you could watch is "Firefly References on Castle".
And Firefly references in other shows. One of those too. Actually, just watch Castle . . . the first few seasons especially.
Categories would be a lot more interesting than tiers.
You could also put the characters in tear-lists instead of tier-lists. 😢
😭

If you're not quite ready to leave the 'verse behind, maybe someone could find you a copy of Browncoats Redemption 🧡
Gg
Your not old enough to remember the TV show the love boat. That was a parody of the intro to the Love Boat.
