You know a Shelby owner is legit when he's had his license revoked twice and is still doing donuts and clutch dumps in the neighborhood. 😁

Owning a car like that from a young age is like finding the fountain of youth. You never grow up. Love to see it!

So nice this 'old guy' share the experience , the raw power , the connection these old cars still give to a young generation. Immagine how these today's older gearheads have been feeling when they were young and really driving cars like this . Fantastic and thanks for sharing.

I bought my my K code Mustang back in 1973, when I was 17. Ive drag raced it, street raced it, Autocross. Drove it up to Alaska and back. You name it we’ve done it. I still have the car. This Car is so much fun. She’s an old friend. Great Video, thanks.

Cars like this are a vibrant way of carrying forward historic American culture in a modern day world. Cars like this are a national treasure for all of us to witness and enjoy. Thanks to those that own them and continue to carry the torch forward! It is a great way to preserve our culture.

This is how you "preserve" an old car. You drive the darn thing..letting them sit they just get garage rot
This dude has tons of memories made ea time he turns the key. The "afriad to drive it crowd" makes none.
Its just a car, we live once so go live!
Nothing like the sound of gears, a stick and solid lifter cam. Never gets old

SO GREAT TO HAVE YOU BACK!!!!
Steve and I look about the same age. I bought my Mustang in FEB 1975 for $600. Kept her all these years, lots of repairs and a total rebuild in 2016. I was about to wish I was in SoCal with my Mustang but that car in that traffic is SCARY!!!! When I go out in mine I am often the only car on the road!!! 1000 sq mile county with about 2000 full time residents! So I'll take my trafiic any day!!!! THANKS!!!

One of your best videos yet. The production quality is just so good! You engage the viewer so well, it feels like we are right there with you, experiencing the moments. You are very lucky to have so many car guys in your family circle of friends, keep bringing their stories. I love seeing content with cars that actually get driven. That Shelby does it for me a hundred times better than a fully restored trailer queen, for sure!

Fun video of a very cool GT350. I rented a Hurtz GT350H in June of 1966, ran the car hard all night, and then had a brake failure while pulling into the driveway at home. Hurtz towed the Mustang away…no charge. (Rental fee was only $19.00 per day). Thank you for sharing your videos, and your passion for cool cars.

I owned a '67 fastback Mustang in high school and this video really makes me miss that old Pony. Mine had a 351C that I completely went through, chamfering/de-flashing all of the edges of the block and heads, as well as the oil passages and returns, static balancing the rotating assembly and polishing the rod beams/piston heads, giving the heads a good once-over in the bowl and exhaust port areas to shine things up and help hold the carbon build-up downt and a DIY port match job that took a month of working and measuring - my micrometer and calipers became intimate friends, as I slowly shaped the intake runners and head ports. Next was a 9-inch posi rear end w/ 3:90 gears for hook-up. When I finally assembled that engine it was an easy job and it went together and was broken-in in a week-end. When I took it to the drag strip it ran a 13:89 first trip, at about 7K RPMs. I later brought that ET down to 12:79 at over 8K RPMs for personal-best quarter mile. That engine screamed like a Banshee and never gave me one problem. Ended up selling that car for $10K after I had won my division, altered stock. I've never been in car that felt quicker than that Mustang. I used that $10K to buy a new Triumph TR-8 in late '79 - what a disappoinment that car was , as it spent way too much time at the dealer's repair shop. Suspension and brakes were woefully under-engineered and the electrical system was problematic, at best. Ended up giving that car back to the dealer under the Lemon Law clause and bought myself a new CJ-5 Jeep that I kept for some years before it got smashed by a drunk.

Outstanding content. That guy must be true ace mechanic if he’s able to keep a car that old running and driving that good especially considering how much he pushes it around. I had a pretty nice 79 Trans Am 400/4 sp back the the early 2000’s and if I tried to drive it like this it would have probably snapped in half.

Great video and Steve and his GT 350. I have seen him with his car at many Shelby events and at Willow Springs a couple times. I have a 65 fastback tribute GT 350 that is almost done with the restoration. When I get it back on the road it will be my daily driver. Yes you heard that right, my daily driver. It has been my daily driver since 2006 when I bought it. I stop driving it last year and had a restoration done and I’m almost ready to get it back on the road.
