I live on the water West of Montreal and enjoy seeing the coast guard come break the ice every April. This year it started melting and breaking up mid-February. Today is the first day that it's all water again. I've never seen it this early. I was tempted to get my kayak out 😂 but there's a lot of debris and the water is high and fast. Ya definitely a warm winter season. Hopefully this summer is more normal. Even maybe a wet one. We need some moisture here. Took a trip to the hut March 12 and it's ok ish. Bring your rubber boots but also bring your snowshoes. Saturday will be the last family adventure then Sunday taking it off. Was a short season.
