I'm watching the video ON your birthday :D Happy birthday mate. Even thought I've been living in London for 4 years now and have been studying English for most of my life, your videos help me so much to communicate effectively and bring me closer everyday to being able to express myself the way I'm able to in Portuguese. Great class Papa! Very useful tips and examples. However, as a Brazilian , I would like to recommend you to visit São Paulo and the Brazilian northeast, in summer - there are a lot of great events happening there, besides the beauty sites you will find. But be careful about some places you may want to go - see if it’s dangerous at night. Wish you a great time!

Thank you, sir. You are awesome. Your explanation is easy to understand. I am now really good at preposition. I am relieved that I don't have to google it anymore to make sure that I am using the correct preposition. All in all, I will try to answer your question about American English using "on" the weekend. My lecturer from US said it's because we are in the middle of the weekend, so we are using "on". I have ever asked the same question as yours.

I want to tell you something . You'll change my English knowledge in the future so you're seriously best teacher . In this video change mine preposition knowledge. Thanks you very much 👌 papa .😎😎
Please make a video for prep after verbs as I see sooooo much of up like in(wait up, hold up.......) and over like (come over, make it over....) sooooo confusing, isn't it? Thanks for your efforts!
I'm not a professional, but I just want to make a contribution to this topic. Please correct me, if I'm wrong! -For closed spaces: "in" (some exceptions: at school, at work, at a party) -For line & queue: "in" -For water: "in" (in the water/sea, in the river) -For countries & cities: "in" -Some exceptions for "in": in the newspaper, in the sky, in the bed -For general places: "at" (at the bus-stop, at the cinema, etc.) -For point: "at" (at the top/bottom, at the corner) -"at noon" like "at night" -For transportations: "on" -For surfaces: "on" -For small islands: "on" -For directions: "on" (on the right/left) -Some exceptions: on the radio/TV, on the way, on the street (Papateachme has a big bookstore on London Street :)

It's really helpful and help me with my work. PS I live in UK and I know guys understand me, but I wanna be better 😊 Cuz usually native English speakers don't wanna correct you.
Maybe because in India we are taught a mix of English and the American English, but I’m so confused about the usage of at and on for “the weekend”.. why is it “at the weekend”? So if I have this particular sentence: “what did you do at/on the weekend”, wouldn’t “on the weekend” sound better? Also, why isn’t “in” used here?
Hi, I'm Vietnamese. Well, about this question: what time of year is best to visit my country? -> Actually you can go to my country at the end of August and the beginning of September. That time has Mid Autumn Festival. The atmosphere is so cool and has many colorful lantern. Specially, in Hanoi. That makes you feel happy and comfy 😊. Well, I think so.

Teacher, I need your possible correction in my sentence: I'm gonna be in Paris in/on/at Christmas time (long period of 7 days for example). I don't know which preposition is necessary. For example, I have clear on Christmas Day but at Christmas.

Thank you PapaTeachMe. I was confused before but now it's quite clearly for me. But, I get confuse when you say 'at Christmas' and 'on new year's eve'. 🤷 I don't really understand about it.
“At” is used for specific times on the clock or points of time in the day. “by” is used specifically with an endpoint of time and it means no later than (specific time.) For example, He doesn’t like driving *at* night. we need to be there *by* night. And this is the only place where *"by"* is used as a preposition of time.
Hi! My birthday is on August 11th, my best friend's birthday is in January, I would live in the 80s, the best time to visit Colombia is in Summer, but really there is no proper seasons there, so... I'd like to wake up tomorrow at 5 am to practice yoga, but I'm going to the Christmas market this evening so I'll probably wake up with a hangover in the afternoon, I'm going to London in January 2020. Thanks for the videos.
I cried when he said that 2020 would be a great year, so sad
Lmao
If we could prevent the future! Would be easier
But i laughed cuz I'm comfortably numb now.

Thank you PapaTeachMe. I was confused before but now it's quite clearly for me. But, I get confuse when you say 'at Christmas' and 'on new year's eve'. 🤷
I don't really understand about it.
You mentioned " in the class" in preposition of place. In/at the school will be correct, right?
I feel happy when i watch you Thank you ❤️
Oh , no one could teach prepositions like this to me
Thank you for your energetic video 😍🤹🏽♀️❣💛

No me canso de ver tus vídeos Me Encantan¡ I Love You ¡¡¡¡ I love watching your videos
Aly, please what's the difference between " at night" and "by night"? Thanks 💖
Happily your hand is almost ok!
“At” is used for specific times on the clock or points of time in the day.
“by” is used specifically with an endpoint of time and it means no later than (specific time.)
For example,
He doesn’t like driving *at* night.
we need to be there *by* night.
And this is the only place where *"by"* is used as a preposition of time.
@@cloudsgamezz Thank you :)
@@mamymimma You're welcome bro!
Thank you so much for this lesson 😊😊😊
Great. First time someone explains the use of those prepositions easy and funny.
