  • In the first installment of a rather ambitious six-part series, I explore the beginnings of the Adelaide Crows, one of the more...interesting teams of the AFL era. From the courtroom to the MCG, their opening thirteen years are filled with highs, lows, and some interesting tales.

Darren Bewick was a damn fine player, thank you.

I must say I judged him from what I saw in his late career, and somewhat unfairly compared him to a prime Roo/Modra.
His early 90s numbers were actually insane

Tell me you weren't old enough in the early 90s without telling me you weren't old enough in the early 90s...
It's Sean Tasker, as in 'tass-ker', and Mark Mickan rhymes with Dark Chicken...
That off my hairy old chest, good video. Very nostalgic.

Yeah I hadn't been born at that stage, but would have been so cool to be around for the formation of the Crom!

@@thegaz-man Scott should been a lynch pin for the expansion team for the first decade coming of nearly 150 goals in 1990 for port Adelaide Sanfl magpies , however he was such a flop . He quit in I think 1995 only to be redrafted by the crows back in 1996 and then on traded to the AFL port power.a lot of the port Adelaide magpies boys who made the inaugural squad despite being dominant in the SANFL were flops such as Darren smith. Simon tregenza was the exception. It took over half a decade before the greatest thing port gave to the crows would bear fruit that was none other than A Mcleod.

I think Mark Mickan is pronounced "Micken", not McCann, but I stand to be corrected.
