I just realised that I was holding my breath the whole time that you were doing this to your pages. When I saw your original photo album, I was jealous as mine are not that good at all which just shows that I didn't have talent in the first place & back when I started with CM no one taught us anything, & even today when I look at what CM are doing on videos - it is still the same old thing, dumping four six by four photos on a page with strips of cardstock, so boring with flat stickers that do nothing to improve the page. That is why I am so blessed to watch the design team each week showing me how to make pages that look artistic & so make me proud of my albums & happy to show others. So thank you Julie. Actually, I ran a lot of my old photos through the scanner, then got reprints done so that I could start all over again. I only wish that I had the capability of editing some of the dirt on the kids faces etc to improve them as my daughter never bothered to make sure the kids looked presentable before she clicked the camera.
I too started with CM and it’s wasn’t really my thing. I’m so glad I get to work with awesome ladies to push my creativity. Don’t worry about the dirty little faces it’s all part of the story.
the biggest thank you for your deconstruction project. I think we all have scrap pages from back in the day that confirm we have come a long way in design, papers and embellishments. Thanks for your courage to lift up photos and make over the page. Perfect.
I love the new layout. I was surprised that you didn’t scan and resize the photos. I am mad at myself for some of the bad cropping I did to original photos. This layout would look stunning with black & white photos too. Now I want to go scrap! Thanks for inspiring me!
I’m a a point that, I just want to redo some pages and try this first. Even if a scan them they are already cropped in too much. Black and white photos would be really nice. 😊
Love the new layout but I really liked the old one as it reflected our scrapbooking time back when. It was actually quite a cute layout. But everyone is different. I admire your skills in redoing the layout. You made it look great.
I love the new pages! I'm definitely a "change it if you don't love it " kind of person. Currently looking through my early pages and adding bits and pieces to some i like, redoing others that are not good.😊 Thanks for Sharing. I haven't seen other videos like this anywhere.
That was awesome. I have been hesitant to create layouts without specific pictures in mind. You have eased my mind that changes can easily be made. I might use a little less glue when I "pre-create". You can always add more glue when you finalize. Thank you for your tips.
I still have some of that paper from the original layout. I have quite a few old albums that I am working on refreshing. I check my stash of base page layouts first. Love the tip for using the white card stock to for the new layout before resizing the photos
I love this and loved watching you create it. I’m also going through my albums and either fixing or redoing layouts. Like you, I have many premade layouts I want to adjust and use.
What a transformation! Love what you did with that layout and also you explaining how to change photo sizes to make them work. Also loved that vellum with title. Beautiful❤
I've never seen this done before, so I really enjoyed seeing your before and after pages and the journey you went through to achieve this transformation. Thank you.
Oh, yes, I was anxious for you when you started deconstructing the layouts!I love how the “ refreshed” layout looks! I had to chuckle when I noticed the original paper used. I had that exact paper and I’m sure it’s in one of my earliest albums. Thanks for your bravery!😂
It turned out well, really cute and I enjoyed watching your process. But since I am a lazy scrapbooker I think I would have just made a new layout versus changing a premade one.
It was serendipitous that I came across your video tonight! I am in the process of scrapbooking my old photos onto some pages that I have created using CTMH kits. I may need to resize my photos as well as removing some things on the layouts. I learned what I can do to make changes. I am very grateful and feel lucky to be able to learn from you. Your video came at the perfect time! By the way, it was a beautiful layout you created.
Hi, I was wondering if you have any videos for CTMH dream maker collection that you could link me to? I have had a look but can't find any process videos? Thank you
I have been tempted to "update" old layouts, but my (now grown adult) children, say "No mom! Don't!" Their albums are part of their memories too, and they don't want me changing them.
I don't get it. Those older pages reflect where you were at the time, it is what it was. Second, what is the point of taking all that time to create that beautiful layout w/out photos to only go back and completely rip it apart to accommodate your 'remake. Doesn't make sense. End result is nice
I teach and create scrapbooking workshops the process is so laborious that I don’t have time to add photos. Plus, by not adding photos the workshop is more generic. With that said, I find myself with gorgeous layouts and no photos. My early years are nice but this reflect my style more. So instead of keeping them in a bin with no photos I want to incorporate them in my scrapbooks.
Using the velum behind your title to hide the imperfections was brilliant!
I really wanted to use this layout so I needed to find a way. I’m glad it worked. Thanks for watching 😊

You are so welcome!
What a transformation! Isn’t it fun to go back and look at our older albums? 😮 we’ve come a long way baby! ❤❤❤
We sure have, plus I do have so pretty premade ones. So I thought why not.
This was a little scary to watch - but I knew you'd be able to do this perfectly and with style. Love the makeover and it was so worth it.
I do like the result but not everyone is a fan of redos. Glad you are #teamredo.
I love the new layout. I was surprised that you didn’t scan and resize the photos. I am mad at myself for some of the bad cropping I did to original photos. This layout would look stunning with black & white photos too. Now I want to go scrap! Thanks for inspiring me!

Julie what an amazing layout. Love how you were able to save your layout.
It’s all about using what I’ve created and it nice to see photos on those pages finally.
Love that you shared how to rework a page and make the photos fit! I have a huge stack of LOs with no photos & I need to do more of this.
Glad it was helpful! I have so many layout to work with. I’ll be sharing more for sure.
Love the new layout but I really liked the old one as it reflected our scrapbooking time back when. It was actually quite a cute layout. But everyone is different. I admire your skills in redoing the layout. You made it look great.
I agree but I have so many layouts
With now pictures that this seems to be the right thing to do.
I love the new pages!
I'm definitely a "change it if you don't love it " kind of person. Currently looking through my early pages and adding bits and pieces to some i like, redoing others that are not good.😊 Thanks for

I think redos are not too popular but since I have so many layouts with no photos this makes sense to be honest. Glad you liked it. #teamredo 😊
Gorgeous, Julie! Love the title.
Thank you so much! Titles are so hard sometimes.
That was awesome. I have been hesitant to create layouts without specific pictures in mind. You have eased my mind that changes can easily be made. I might use a little less glue when I "pre-create". You can always add more glue when you finalize. Thank you for your tips.
I agree less glue is best, I need to remember that 😄
Fantastic Julie! I recently made the decision to redo some summer layouts from 30 years ago and I’m so thankful for tips and inspiration. ❤
Glad it was helpful! 😊
I knew it would turn out amazing and amazing it is!
I do like this redo I have so many good layouts waiting for pictures. It’s one of my goals this year. Thanks.
I still have some of that paper from the original layout. I have quite a few old albums that I am working on refreshing. I check my stash of base page layouts first. Love the tip for using the white card stock to for the new layout before resizing the photos
Glad this was helpful, I can’t even remember where that paper was from. The paper was ok but the composition not so much 😂
I love this and loved watching you create it. I’m also going through my albums and either fixing or redoing layouts. Like you, I have many premade layouts I want to adjust and use.
It’s so rewarding to use up premade layout and redo some older pages. Enjoy the process 😊
What a transformation! Love what you did with that layout and also you explaining how to change photo sizes to make them
work. Also loved that vellum with title. Beautiful❤
Thanks so much! Sometimes you just need to find a way to make it all work. Glad you liked it. 😊
I've never seen this done before, so I really enjoyed seeing your before and after pages and the journey you went through to achieve this transformation. Thank you.
Thank you so much! Glad this was helpful to see the process.

Oh thank you! The paper selection back then was very limited, I'm glad to have more options and lots of finish layouts to play with.
It turned out well, really cute and I enjoyed watching your process. But since I am a lazy scrapbooker I think I would have just made a new layout versus changing a premade one.
My problem is I have too many premade ones and I do like them so I’ll try have use as many as I can.

That is so wonderful, I'm glad to hear you will be putting your pages to good use. Thanks for watching!
I love the way it turned out, but I am not as brave as you were. Very NICE!!❤
Sometimes you just need to go for it plus I have so many pages I can use. Thanks for you lovely comment.
It looks amazing!
Thank you. 😊
Love how the redo turned out! Brilliant
Thank you 😊
Wow what a transformation! Beautiful Julie!
Thanks so much! 😊

Here you go. ruclips.net/video/mBrCwDGOj0c/видео.htmlsi=r7Gg_5TtFSDwrwTO
What kind of container holds those pages?
It’s the large thirty one tote
I have been tempted to "update" old layouts, but my (now grown adult) children, say "No mom! Don't!" Their albums are part of their memories too, and they don't want me changing them.
I guess since I have so many premade layouts I’m giving myself permission to do so. My kids are supporting so I don’t feel too bad about it.
