I just had a coffee catch up with a customer and have lent her the tabs dies so she can label and organise her cardstock exactly the same way after she watched your video. This is so good Julie - thank you so much for the inspiration.
@@JulieCarriere_TheScrapZone I have to put things away after each project I make. But then there are always the "rogue" things that never seem to find a home! 😘
I have smaller envelopes the same style, for my stamps and dies that are mounted on magnetic sheet, and I’ve found the flap lid that tucks into a slot is just a fiddley PITA. I cut all those flaps off …everything still stays in the envelope just fine and these is no flap to fuss with anymore.
I have been storing my cardstock in the paper envelopes for a couple of years now in an IKEA shelf. Some of my envelopes are a bit fuller than yours so they fill up two cubes. I have used solid metal bookends available cheaply from K-mart in the middle of each cube to help them stand up straight. I used a label maker and have them in alphabetical order. Scraps go into the same bag as full sheets and the glitter papers each have their own envelope along with vellum etc and are stored in the next cube! CTMH make it easy for us to store our cardstock in a safe way! Just add a pack or two of envelopes every time you order and you will soon have enough!
Man, Julie! I have fought and fought the storage of 12x12. FINALLY! A way that works! I'm excited to get this working in my craft room. I tried the plastic bags, too, and that didn't work. You're right, they start warping a bit. So glad CTH has the sturdy sleeves to put them in and it saves space! Thank you, thank you! Love all your vids, Julie. Don't miss a one. I really hope this is long lasting. The envelope are nice and sturdy so I think the solution will finally work. Thanks for watching. I appreciate your comments.
Great idea. I’ll have to review my space and see what I can do! I can also see you putting those on their sides, tabs up, in a bin for traveling to a retreat, if you want to take all colors of cardstock!
I have the Kalax shelf divider and love it for organizing my paper cutters, scoring boards and items that don’t stand up well but I need within easy reach. Love how organized you are ❤
This makes my left-brained self very happy to see. I have about 10-20 different manufacturers/color variations for colors, so this would be tough, but I do love the inspiration.
i store my 12x12" flat in IKEA's map drawers, each drawer of which holds 2x12x12 with space left over for a stack of A4 papers. Other drawers in the 5 drawer units hold block stamps, inks, papers for painting & recycled microwaveable plastic cartons which hold die cuts made from recycling old greeting card. A drawer holds these 2 deep, & about 6 across, with 2 layers. Larger die cuts go in recycled 1kg hummus plastic containers, & those fit to the brim of the drawer, again, 2 deep.
Great video! Sorting by color like this is really working for me. I was using hanging files before and this is so much better for the way I approach making.
There’s no size problem with Michael’s Simply Tidy cube system which is also a perfect size for CTMH albums. They are slightly larger than other cubes. 16:08
