I really have been thinking about palm rolling my microlocs. I'm so tired of taking 3 days to interlock and I like the palm roll method better. I keep accidentally combining my locs with the interlock method. I'm just over it. lmao

I just started palm rolling my micro locs as well . I honestly think I’ll like this method better and maybe interlocking 2-3 times a year . Apparently palm rolling will create more volume as well. Your hair turned out great , I’m hitting my month 5 next week so excited !

Congrats and thanks so much. I agree a good interlocking session a few times a year should be sufficient for me too.

I used eco styling gel with my natural hair and it leaves so much build-up. Be careful with that because you don’t want build-up in your locs. I had traditional locs for 8 years and I had buildup because of ga and other products. How did it go?

Thanks for the feedback. Actually there was not buildup like the brown gels. I did use it sparingly....and it lasted about 2 weeks as a retwist option. I may even use it again but I want to try flackseed oil instead, just scared it won't hold. My hair is a beast! Thanks for watching and keep giving me advice and input. We are all looking, watching, reading, and learning. Love u 👸 thanks again!

Mommy Time eco works for me with no buildup. I add a little olive oil to it and it works well. I have fine hair too.

@@MisskiajLocdandloaded i heard you can boil down flaxseeds to make a gel at home. I'll be trying that. Apparently it leaves zero build up. There's a recipe on Loccrush's channel

Your locks look great! I just started my 2nd set of locs. 1st set was traditional palm rolled, now, I’m doing Microlocs/interlocks.

Hey, thanks for the vid! It's nice to see other ways of maintaining microlocks other than interlocking...
I'm 100% considering palm rolling my microlocks too :)
Question: when you wash your hair say 3 weeks-post-retwist... Does the gel/products used previously wash out too or does it stay and hold in the locs? And then what does that mean for product build up? Just some questions I have :)

Thanks for watching. The very next wash it will mostly be gone. Which is the down side. I have recently started waiting a little longer for a wash and so far no build up, still just oil and water spray on the ends and a quick mist and go in the morning. I will probably palm roll again after my next wash, just because it was so quick and easy!

Here's my feedback for you. You do realize that using products stalls the loc process, right? What you did with the palm roll & hair dryer is great. Now leave it alone until your next wash & reti! And start braiding/banding your locs during washing to resolve the cons from your other video. 😂😄 keep your hands outta your head, mama! Be free and let the loc process do it's thang!!! Thanks for sharing your loc journey.
