Did you use a gel to start start your loc?

I had a bad experience with them as well. They don't respond to you by way of email. It used to be better when it was darker but the clear one doesn't work as well. I surely won't recommend them anymore to anyone. I did when it was the dark on. They didn't tell me that it changed.

Your hair is visibly in a fragile state. I suggest using a net for your installs. Or try quick weaves with two caps underneath and hairspray to protect your hair.

30 vol on scalp? Wow!

I'm with you sis, I went for six weeks when I had someone install my locs as a retirement gift to myself and my scalp felt awful because of sweat and dandruff , but after my first retie I started washing lmy locs once a week and my scalp feels sooooo good now and I'm satisfied with doing my own hair and I'm saving money!

I have found that when loose hairs tangle with another loc and you pull that hair out of the loc sometimes that will cause bunching on the loc the hair was pulled from. I hope that makes sense. One RUclipsr advises just cut the strands of hair and not pull them out to reduce the bunching. This usually happens with 2 strand twist starter locs. If you spritz the loc with water and pull gently but firmly sometimes you can smooth out the twist or bunched up strands. I prefer to pull the sterands out of the loc rather than cut them even if I end up with some bunching. New subscriber!

Do the locs that you interloc stay hard and knotted as it grows, verses the softness and texture of palm rolling? When I interloc as time went on, I didn't like how it felt...it wasn't as smooth as palm rolling. I love your video btw. Nice job 👏

This video was definitely click bat. Scam is taking your money with no product in return. Then not being able to resolve the issue bc the company is make believe, or the stylist say different than what was marketed such as charging you for the “free install” lol. This was “I didn’t want to wait 2 wks out for an appt. Can we get more stylist in the area” kinda video. Gotta be careful throwing that word SCAM around when obviously you were not clear on how the process works. If that be the case that’s a whole nother topic if they were misleading on their site. But if I don’t book with my stylist the only way I’m getting a 2 day appt is if someone cancels honey. Other than that….I’m a sitting duck.

I imagine that tightening is probably very satisfying, but doing it loose, (don’t know, never done it before) is probably important for health. I say this because I just started my traditional loc journey and in my research I noticed that a lot of people have widened parts. I purposefully made my sections small so that I don’t have to pull hair from too far to make a section, thereby pulling out the peripheral strands over time while tightening, and widening the parts, and causing thinning.

My grid is messed up, I split my locs, started with 103, now have 240. I honestly didn't make sure the new parts were anything. Ultimately I'm just looking forward to the journey. Great information! I have thinner hair in the front as well, but still loving it!
