I have the exact same mount. I ended up not liking how it sticks out. I removed the metal clamp parts that attaches to the back side of the mount. Removed the screws and mounted it directly to the part where the “ball” used to be. Made it more flush and doesn’t look so out of place

That's a good idea, I know it's not the best mount ever but it's better than nothing, especially if it's not used that often. Thank you for the tip!
