- This short drone video was shot in 4k with the Mavic 2 Pro in May 2020 and shows the restoration that is happening to this amazing building in Firbeck
The house was built in 1594 and through the years, decades and centuries has passed through many owners but fell into dreadful disrepair from 1990 onward.
Until recently it stood derelict but now, thankfully, it is in the process of being refurbished and converted into residences

great to see this place being restored. i live not far from there and went for a look around it before the restoration began. and the gate house.
I was in Firbeck yesterday but couldn't see the building because it's all fenced off with big gates. There are large banners covering the fencing with pictures of how it will look after the restoration. I believe it is being converted to apartments.
from the ground there is nothing you can see now, I have another 2 videos of the house that I did for the construction company that is renovating the hall into apartments. if you cant find then let me know and i'll gladly send you the links, they are very similar to this one though
@@FootprintPhoto I was there for a day out walking in the area. I like to explore old buildings. It's a shame that the house is now enclosed with fencing all around it. I suppose that's what the gated community is all about. Gates to keep nosey people out. I was prompted to look for info about it for my blog. Your video is very interesting. Thank you.
@@meanqueensuperscrimper8908 At the moment the hall is a construction site with plant machinery moving around so the fencing will be as much for safety reasons as anything else. It isnt finished yet so nowhere near a gated community, glad you like the video
@@FootprintPhoto Oh I see. I found a web site where an agent is selling apartments. I didn't realise that the renovations are taking so long to complete. I love drone videos. I don't have the technical know how to do them myself.
@@meanqueensuperscrimper8908 I do lessons for budding drone owners and teach them to fly properly and safely. I'm in North Anston if you are ever interested. You would be taught on one of my drones unless you have one of your own.
