Thanks so much. I managed to fix my dryer . The brand is Vedette, but the system is the same. 🎉🎉 i paid a belt 10 euros. It took me 30 minutes , when the handyman wanted to fix it for 170 euros. You saved my day. THANK YOU SO MUCH
Hi, thanks so much for your comment here...it's so good to hear that we have helped you to fix your tumble dryer yourself, and great to know that you have been able to save so much money too!
What a fantastic simple and accurate video, I was going to be charged $160 to change the belt + the cost of the belt $50 and thanks to your video I did it in 30 minutes + $50 for a replacement belt. Fantastic Guys Joe
Done it in just over 1 hour, just putting the belt on the pulley messed with my head for 10 mins but other than that it was spot on, 2 screws left over but I will call that a bonus it's usually more, next time 30 mins Thank's for video it saved me a fortune.
Thankyou for this very good tutorial, helped me change the belt. I did get stuck with the lower fan nut, but being a mechanic I figured it was a left hand thread. Awesome well done.
Just finished changing the belt on my AEG T76280AC. Took me almost 3 hours, mostly because i was too lazy to search for the right video. I had to remove the whole motor to reach with the belt to the right place, as the fan would not detach. Thanks for the help
Hi Dimitar, you may not have been able to find a video showing your model but as you will have discovered it is a similar procedure to our video. Glad to hear you managed to complete the repair.
Thank you very much, this video was really helpful! 2 things: 1. I didn't remove the top sliding (water?) drawer. It wasn't really more dificult to get the belt in ;-) 2. The 2nd fan in the bottom has reverse thread. (In dutch we call it 'left' thread) Again thank you very much! Sincere greetings, Peter
Peter S wish I'd of read this first as I snapped a spanner trying to undo the left handed thread, but apart from that this was an excellent video and saved heaps on calling out a repair man.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!You just saved me 80 euro.I replaced the belt alone(with clothes inside :p ) The dryes is pitsos but from inside the regulator and the belt and the motor are the same. I think i am hearing a strange sound now, but i am not sure if there isnt before..
The part the breaks the most they make the hardest thing to change. Try doing this in a small room or closet with dryer on top of a washer. Blower nuts never like to come off a hot motor shaft after a few years. Most all are reversed thread nut. And the customer wants to know why so much money to just change a belt.Note your bloody hands.Great video.
+JeffatJY Unfortunately nearly every dryer that you are likely to find will be difficult to replace the drive belt due to their design. However with the right information and a bit of patience most people are capable of carrying out the repair. Good point about Mat's injury 'minor knick' and it is worth mentioning that when covers are off there are often sharp edges that can easily catch you and cut. Hope all went well for you on your repair.
A nice video. I need to check if this would be the problem of our Gorenje D73225. It makes a screeching sound if I turn manually the drum (when the door is open) but in my opinion the drum doesn't move at all when I close the door but it is trying to do something. If I wait for a while, it starts making burning smell and that's when I get alerted to stop it.
The problem is likely to be due to the drive belt coming off the tension pulley (probably due to a worn pulley). If you cannot find the part you need on our website fill in your details at this link and we will locate the part for you www.espares.co.uk/contact/sales.
Hi. I have looked after an instruction how to replace the belt on my tumble dryer. It´s an Ariston Hotpoint AQC45F5TZ1EU. I have get an exploded view on the machine. But I can´t get it on place.
Tine Zavrsnik The nut on the condenser fan we are pretty sure is a left handed thread so it undoes in a clockwise direction. If you cannot remove it try penetration oil and leave for ten minutes.
That depends on how 'handy you are, someone with a modest experience of DIY would probably be able to do this is around an hour but a complete novice may take twice this time. A good way yo prepare for this is to get several small containers for the different screws you may come across. Label each for the different screw types and use a felt pen to indicate on the case '1' for the first type and' 2' '3' etc as you remove the different types. Then as you dismantle take regular photos on your phone so when it comes to reassembly you will know which part came off where and what screw was used. Make sure you have enough space and good luck.
Pour la pose de la courroie de mon sèche-linge Hotpoint TL61 : J'ai un peu cherché car j'avais deux poulies d'entraînement au lieu d'une. Une petite heure m'a suffit. Merci eSpare pour cette vidéo.
Comment: To install the belt of my dryer Hotpoint TL61: I looked a bit because I had two drive pulleys instead of one. A small hour was enough for me. Thanks eSpare for this video. Hi Nawar, we are not 100% sure but think it is either a 10MM or possibly a 12 mm nut. this kit should sort you out: www.espares.co.uk/product/es1637552/rolson-5-piece-combination-spanner-set
+Philip Murray Thanks for the comment Philip. It is always a good idea when you are carrying out a repair to clean any pars hat look a bit grubby. Fan blades often build up dust from the air they move, this can cause them to go off balance and created a droning noise. Cleaning may prevent this.
Check this is not coming from the washing machine. If it only occurs on dried clothes examine the drum by wiping with a clean cloth to find any contamination.
Hi Day, we have a couple of videos on the belt replacement on an Indesit that could help ruclips.net/video/snWjzoV6HjI/видео.html&t try this one first.
eSpares thanks it worked. Somehow now my heating element is also broken. Belt is in place now tho. Gonna get a new 1 that heating element is not cheap and no garanties that it will be the only problem
eSpares dont know how and havent got 1. But had it turned on while open and it doesnt heat up at all. Also pressed the reset button and made sure all cables where in place. No luck

I think i am hearing a strange sound now, but i am not sure if there isnt before..
Glad to hear we helped, if you think there is a 'strange noise' check the belt is in the correct place and the pulley bearing is not worn.
This helped me heaps to change my belt in my drier. Looked hard but was easy as with your video. Thank. :)
Thanks for the comments Cindy, hope we have helped give you more confidence to tackle your next problem.

Goooooda 👌 but use the nut driver machine open the screws and tight 😁 save the time
Hi Ahsan Siddique, thank you for your post and the information.
And what do you do if the screw on the fan won't move? I'm afraid to use too much pressure so I don't damage the motor or the spindle.
Tine Zavrsnik The nut on the condenser fan we are pretty sure is a left handed thread so it undoes in a clockwise direction. If you cannot remove it try penetration oil and leave for ten minutes.
Great video! how long should it take a novice.

Hi, what is the size of the condenser fan nut?
Hi Nawar, we are not 100% sure but think it is either a 10MM or possibly a 12 mm nut. this kit should sort you out:
www.espares.co.uk/product/es1637552/rolson-5-piece-combination-spanner-set
You might clean the fans while you are at it.

hi i find after finished on clothes black sign how can fix it that
Check this is not coming from the washing machine. If it only occurs on dried clothes examine the drum by wiping with a clean cloth to find any contamination.
WARNING!!! A simple belt change will usually ended up cleaning and lubricating those normally inaccessible parts.
Inside looks the same only my pulley cant be pulled back.
I cant get the belt over the pulley. Any1 can help me out?
Its an indisit btw
Hi Day, we have a couple of videos on the belt replacement on an Indesit that could help ruclips.net/video/snWjzoV6HjI/видео.html&t try this one first.

Hi Day Lee, have you tested it with a multimeter, make sure it has failed before you replace it.
eSpares dont know how and havent got 1. But had it turned on while open and it doesnt heat up at all. Also pressed the reset button and made sure all cables where in place. No luck
eSpares thanks for the help btw
E2 in Hyundai dryer----?????
We cannot find any information on Hyundai dryer errors, what is the dryer doing?.
Love your video, but I'm a woman and my tool box is a knife and a high shoes way to many screws I would end up killing someone
Hi jules ju, now is the time to buy a better tool box lol.
can you come home and change mine?
Hi Anna, we believe you will be more than capable of fixing it yourself even if you have limited DIY experience :-)
