    This is fantastic. I opened up the dryer and found a sock was stuck in the fan, and that's what brought the whole thing to a halt. Glad the belt is still in good condition. Thanks for creating this.

    Thank you so much for this video! We have this exact same model and were sad that it broke after 7 years. This video saved us an expensive repair. It took us 3 hours and one sliced finger (be very careful removing the front panel at around 0.54!) to repair our dryer. Some of the screws were super tight, In our case, the problem was one of the back wheels, which took additional parts to remove. The right wheel on the back of the dryer was chipped off, with lots of black rubber crumbs around it. We ordered a replacement kit with the belt, 4 wheels, and the belt wheel + spring, and decided to replace everything. Everything is working again! Thank you so much!

    After 20 minutes, some sheet metal cuts, slippage on the belt because the replacement was tangled like trefoil knot and it worked. Thanks for the walkthrough!

    very helpful. I had it apart to change out the high temp relay so I replaced the belt and the rest of the relays and sensors to be sure. had to wait a few extra days on parts so forgot how the belt goes back on. the moisture sensor is a two wire plug but plugs into a three wire female so that made me wonder too but this video cleared all that up. it needed a good cleaning anyway and I lubricated the four rollers too.

    great video! thanks so much! turns out it wasn't the belt; instead there was a lot of hair wrapped around the 4 rollers. the hair created so much friction, it kept the rollers from rotating easily, so the belt was dragging on the drum. my advice... if you're replacing the belt, make sure to inspect, clean, and grease the pins the rollers rotate on. runs like new. thanks again!

    If anyone has any resistance and the drum still won’t spin, make sure you didn’t put the drum on backwards. Look for where the belt has made a mark on the drum and make sure that’s towards the back of the dryer. One of our rollers got stuck 3-4 days ago and we weren’t able to bring in the drum holders until today. Went to put it back together and the drum wouldn’t spin with anything in it and seemed sluggish without anything. Noticed the belt had moved to a new spot so I flipped the drum and everything’s working

    I replaced all the guide wheels, pulley, spring and belt. However, my drum still does not spin. The motor operates normally and the drum spins freely when fully reassembled. Perhaps there are some pulley tension adjustments?

    • @thedetroiters
      @thedetroiters 2 года назад

      @@repairclinic Thanks for your reply. Took everything back apart and everything looks fine except one thing - one of the front roller wheels does not contact the drum. So, only three of the 4 roll along the drum. The fourth guide wheel is at least an inch below touching the drum when it's turning normally. And looking at the original wheel at that location, it appears it never made contact with the drum, the wheel shows no sign of ware.
      But, for sure the motor is operating correctly and the drive wheel is tight and operating correctly and the belt is tight and in the correct place. Everything else looks correct - except the drum does not spin unless you help get it started. Hmmm? Would it help to try and replace the motor?

    • @MyLastSong719
      @MyLastSong719 2 года назад

      Rotate the drum. We had the same issue and I had put the drum in backwards. Look for where the belt has worn a mark into the drum and make sure that’s towards the back of the dryer. Flipped it and it’s now moving. For some reason the belt rubbed the pulley unless the drum was a certain way

    • @thedetroiters
      @thedetroiters 2 года назад

      @@MyLastSong719 Thanks Kate. We tried that a few times and still no luck. It's strange but its as though the motor doesn't have enough power to get the drum spinning - if we help it get started it works fine. Weird as I would have thought the motor would either function or not function.
