    The Volvo S40 was introduced with the V40 in 1995. Volvo was going to call the S4/F4 series but it conflicted with Audi's S4 model which the performance version of the A4. In 2000, the Volvo S40/V40 were facelifted with restyled front end, revised engines, suspensions, brakes and a number of technical improvements. In 2004, the second generation S40 was introduced and the V40 name changed to V50. Then in 2012, the S40/V50 was replaced by the C-Segment V40 hatchback.

    Someone please help me i just bought a 2003 Volvo S40 2.0 but it's a non Turbo what i want to know is if the parts are the same with the turbo and non turbo engines because i want to buy parts online they are much cheaper, so is the parts the same ?

    • @rex_s80
      @rex_s80 6 лет назад +1

      SalemMillion the internals are different cause t to have a different compression ratio. I would advise not turboing the NA motor. It’s cheaper to find a crashed turbo and swapping the motor over

    hi! is it true that the older version like the one shown in this video has got some horrible interior noise when driving at higher speed? Is it really that horrible so that you barely can hear when someones talking to you ?

    • @TheMrBrksi
      @TheMrBrksi 6 лет назад +2

      In July 2000, Volvo updated the 40 Series ("Phase II"), implementing a number of technical improvements, including improved engine management, diesel direct fuel injection, extra safety features, larger brake discs, new front suspension and steering, revised rear suspension, larger tyres and a wider track. (From wiki) From my knowledge, models from 2000 are better build, more corosive resistant and safer. (Check crash test of both phases). Also a big difference is with diesel variants, older are much less reliable, both engine and gearbox. After year 2000, they install Volvo M56 gearbox rather than Renault junk of a gearbox. So if you plan owning one, buy models after year 2000, the newer the better.

      My 2003 has a hard ride and a lot of tyre noise, however the handling is surprisingly sporty and if you buy tyres that are rated at less than 70db the noise goes away. (Falken do some rated at a near silent 67db)
      This car in the video has had the wheels changed to 195/65R15 from the original low profile 205/50/R16, probably for comfort/tyre roar reasons

Комменты на английском, под видео. Этот обзор с колхозом на окнах, должен был быть на русском для русских, а не на английском.
