i hope healing staff get reworked to become 2 or 3 different weapons, such as nature staff, holy books, and so on to make healers come in different ways
it would be so cool to have an int healing weapon like a book for instance that could cast abilities by chanting them out loud. you could do big heals and cast damage abilities with it which the life staff lacks
In your controller settings you can set keys to each player in the party, for example: I have players 1-4 on numbers 1-4. So say I want to heal player 1, I can press 1 to target them.
my healing is auto locked on players.... super annoying, scrolling up and down between targets and left control for selfheal do you have any idea where to turn it off? otherwise super video

The heavy attack from Void Gauntlet heals, and the first skill in void gauntlet heals you from ranged as well. Even the final ultimate skill in left side keeps you healed up, like 1k health a second
I can't take you seriously because you advocate Splash of Light which is a skill with a very long cast time, while grounded and vulnerable that provides a mediocre heal to the party IF they are in range. The heal is so minor even at 400+ focus that it can't get anybody with even 100 CON from half life to full. There are much better skills for both AOE and targetted healing.
Watching this game play is really selling me off this game 😬 it looks really sad. You just stand there and get hit while healing yourself and shooting pellets 😭
First off why are you watching build guides when you don't have the game..second this is a single weapon out of a dozen with vastly different play styles.
Imagine thinking console kids are willing to grind days, weeks and months on rocks and trees. And also believing that a bunch of PC players who've grinded for 3 years is going to keep doing it for another 3 years. R.I.P.

One skill is hold a button 'left ctrl on pc" for self heal, or just aim down.

u buy the cheapest staff, then the game drops what you wear, same with heavy, light armor etc.

Dose the splash of light blast that I get when casting actually happen around my group members as well? I havent seen it happen in action yet.
No splash of light does an aoe on you and heals your group within 25m even though walls. The damage blast is just you.
Does the void gauntlet combo well with it?
Void gauntlet is the best weapon to pair with LS. it has the best AOE and scales with focus

So you only have 3 skills available with a total max of 6 for a weapon?

HOWEVER New World wants you to switch between your 2 weapons.

Life staff would be way more fun as melee. That basic attack looks so boring and generic. I hate when games make staves ranged :(

Cqn you target to heal instead of aiming at people feels like a shitty chore on controller
When you activate it you press A to do it on yourself or RT to target a area
Look in settings, special own section for healers.
