    The Raenonx calculator has healing available under settings if you LOG IN. I said i didnt want to go through the actual calculator but I guess I should have explained that.

    • @Bropenings
      @Bropenings  11 месяцев назад +1

      Energy is being accounted for where possible already. Although the calculator isn't perfect especially for main skills, this is one of the skills it attempts to account for.

  • @DutchWill
    @DutchWill 11 месяцев назад +24

    I was not aware about the energy settings in the calculator. However, i do still think it's better to use a healer in most cases. It is situational though and it depends on many factors like: does the sylveon/wigglytuff have subskills and a nature that boost the chance to trigger it's main skill and what is the level of the main skill. if the main skill is level 4 or higher and/or you get more than 3 skill activations on atleast 50% of the days then a healer is better. Also, investing in a healer is good because it is good on every island

      Thank you for editing that comment.
      Note that the calculator is NOT perfect. I've questioned many things myself but it's the closest we have to accurate calculations if you take the time to understand its limitations. Ingredient specialists and skill specialists are undervalued by the calculator generally speaking.

    • @Bropenings
      @Bropenings  11 месяцев назад

      Although you could argue you have the best sylveon/wigglytuff so it would be better than my simulation suggested, we could also counter-argue and say that you could be running 5x Berry Finding S raichus instead which would possibly again make a healer obsolete.

    • @seda_11
      @seda_11 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@Bropenings I think most of the times a 5x berry finder team will be best, but the comment is pointing out that you can use the same Sylveon/Wiggly (which keeps its level) on every island, instead of training up the 5th favored berry mon from a low level every time you hop to a new island. So instead of having to train up a 2nd/3rd Spheal for Tundra, you can use your level 40 Sylveon with lv6 E4E and focus on training up the other Spheal(s) on your team faster instead.
      TL;DR having a "splashable" E4E Sylveon/Wigglytuff lets you focus more resources in 4 pokemon per island instead of 5, making it faster to get to high production.

    • @Bropenings
      @Bropenings  11 месяцев назад

      @seda_11 Yes. The simulations I made were to answer the commonly asked question of when someone has to decide between a berry specialist and a healer, what would you do.
      Clearly if you have some islands/areas where you lack good units anyway, a healer is better than nothing.

    4:53 Couple slight corrections for this section, courtesy of some research by Japanese players:
    1) The speed boost with capped energy overnight actually seems to be 2.2x rather than 2.5x
    2) If you go to sleep below 100 energy, the game seems to use that speed until your inventory is full, and then for sneaky snacking it jumps up to 2.2x
    These don’t change the conclusion of the video much if at all, but thought it was worth mentioning.
    Also as another side note, a decent Sylveon or Wigglytuff should proc about 3 times per day on average.

    • @Bropenings
      @Bropenings  11 месяцев назад +2

      Yep I noticed that 2.2x is used in the raenonx calculator although I wasn't sure why.

  • @Arctagon
    @Arctagon 7 месяцев назад +1

    That calculator doesn't make much sense. The team energy output is affected by the E4E settings even if the team doesn't have a pokemon with that main skill. I even compared a Sylveon with skill trigger nature and subskills to another pokemon with similar skills and energy output, but no healing, and the total team energy output for the entire week is about the same, which obviously cannot be the case in reality when Sylveon's team will be at significantly higher energy levels.
    The recent changes causing energy to be spent even while sleeping also means that you're never going to be anywhere near full energy without a healer, unless you're playing with one sleep session/day of ≥8.5 hrs or use energy recovery incenses. This means healers are going to be even stronger.

    • @Bropenings
      @Bropenings  7 месяцев назад +1

      E4E is ONLY applied if you put it in the settings. And ONLY taken off if you reduce it in the settings (e.g. setting it to 0)
      Unfortunately main skills are very hard to simulate. No other calculator even attempts to try to do so. It's just the learning curve is steep with this calculator.
      And yes, healers are top tier skill mons.

    • @Arctagon
      @Arctagon 6 месяцев назад +1

      So, if activated in the settings, E4E is applied regardless of whether any of the pokemon on your team actually has got the skill? This is very unintuitive UI design. There isn't even a note saying this.

    • @Bropenings
      @Bropenings  6 месяцев назад +2

      @Arctagon it is. It is simply a matter of developer choice so you can apply healing to all parts of the calculator not just team analysis. However unintuitive it is, there is that benefit.

    • @Bropenings
      @Bropenings  11 месяцев назад

      That's a common strategy. A lot of f2p players are just filling that last slot with a healer to keep the rest of their team strong.

  • @lastraven7205
    @lastraven7205 6 месяцев назад +1

    What happens when the wiggly is triggering it's mainskill far more often than just 2 or 3 times? What about when its 5 to 7 times a day?

    • @Bropenings
      @Bropenings  6 месяцев назад +2

      If you are over-healing, swap out wiggly once any of your team member is 140+% and farm with something else until energy drops below 100% then switch back.

  • @sleepyrowlet

    Just wanted to ask but not relating with the vid's topic, I'm still confused about sneaky snacking since I got one Haunter with Inventory L skill and for some reason in my few sleep sessions, I noticed that it's not giving energies for sneaky snacking.
    Do you think any Pokemon which has this skill affected that? I saw a post on reddit that said so but I still don't fully understand the reason behind it

    • @Bropenings
      @Bropenings  11 месяцев назад +2

      Sneaky Snacking is NOT a good thing! I know people like to "flex" their sneaky numbers, but it means little unless you also explain what your inventory size is.
      Sneaky Snacking only happens when your inventory fills, then berries will overflow, while ingredients get lost. So having too much sneaky snacking just means your inventory wasn't high enough to accommodate the farms from that sleep session, and you lost a lot of ingredients.
      Slow pokemon + large inventory = you might see 0 sneaky, but that's OK, you will see the drops when you click pokemon.
      Fast pokemon + small inventory = you see a LOT of sneaky, but that's not OK, you lost heaps of ingredients.
      Fast pokemon + large inventory = you see some sneaky, and that's fine, you already maxed out on inventory anyway.

    Can you please tell me how the simulations change if you are running non favored berry raichus, and a max skilled healer that procs 3+ times a day? The alternative to the healer would be a 5th raichu, all mons are level 45+

    • @Bropenings
      @Bropenings  8 месяцев назад +2

      If the rest of your team is strong for the area, running a strong healer makes sense over running a non-favorite berry pokemon even if it is berry specialist. The simulations vary immensely based on your team build so you'll have to do the numbers yourself on the calculator.

      @@Bretsen Either their chance of activating the skill is higher or the cooldown is shorter. Otherwise what would be the advantage of using a skill specialist pokemon?

    • @Bropenings
      @Bropenings  11 месяцев назад

      @Bretsen we are dealing with many different research topics at once. Skill specialists is one of them. 2 of my discord members are collecting data on a day to day basis and it takes days to weeks to see a clear result. I don't have enough manpower so if you want to help come to my discord and ask me what you can do.

    I have a level 20 Wiggytuff for my current Cyan Beach team. (So Fav berry). She proc’ed 4 times yesterday. It was insane. I ended the day with 100% energy. But I’ve used Sylveon in the past. It’s good but doesn’t always produce the skill. So I guess it just depends.

    • @Bropenings
      @Bropenings  11 месяцев назад

      Yes you can see I made many assumptions in my calculations including the average proc per day being 2 times as a conservative measurement and no nature or subskills. There will be some days you get 4, some days you get 0.
      However is it better than replacing a 5th unit that could have massive speed up and Berry Finding S? It may not be. You'll have to calculate that for your team each time you set up for an area.

    • @HannahFoll
      @HannahFoll 11 месяцев назад +1

      You assume that I have found a Berry S Pokemon at level 10 or 25. I’m just joking but I am a day one player who hasn’t found one yet. I’ve found a few at level 50. There have been days with Sylveon I’ve gotten no procs. It’s pretty frustrating. I agree with your math. I just don’t have enough top tier Pokemon yet. I only have one Raichu and no berry s yet.

    • @Bropenings
      @Bropenings  11 месяцев назад

      So in your case, like my simulation suggested, a good healer would efficiently replace a 5th (weak) team member.

    • @Bropenings
      @Bropenings  11 месяцев назад

      Also beware that proc 4x on energy skill in 1 day is worse than 2x in the morning over 2 days each day.
      If you proc at night just before ur sleep, it doesn't do very much.

    • @HannahFoll
      @HannahFoll 11 месяцев назад +1

      I understand. I’m just working with what I got.
