Let me be the first to say Reed has a lot of the childhood passions we grew up with in meteorology and our first hailstorm or maybe tornado. I’m blessed to have pursued that growing up and working at my local news station as a meteorologist but on the side I definitely do some storm chasing with NOAA’s Skywarn program.
Appreciate you Reed for everything you do. Never stop chasing

Very much enjoyed this interview with Reed. I have only been watching him chase for the last couple of years. Now I have a better understanding of his early childhood passion for meteorology. It is nice to see someone who so clearly followed their passion into a profession and enjoys “driving to work.” I am used to seeing him yelling and screaming in a car so seeing this young Reed looking very serious and clean cut tells me he is not the yahoo one might think, lol. Never stop chasing Reed.

Reed: "Strongest tornado I've seen, Philadelphia, Mississippi tornado"
El Reno tornado: "Hold my beer"

I’ve lived in south Mississippi my whole life and I never even heard of that tornado till now, I was 11 at the time tho so I probably just don’t remember it. I didn’t even know Mississippi had tornados, let alone ef5’s till this year.

If we just ran away from storms trying to avoid them we wouldn't learn anything about them and every year in the U.S.A thousands of people are homeless, a lot get injured and some get killed just because of these storms that produce tornadoes. The three chasers that got killed were basically risking their lives to get data that can advance warning systems and help meteorologists predict storms better and where a tornado will touch down and move to. Weather and storms are very important in this

Reed, not everyone was able to survive in Tuscaloosa above ground. Bama football player Carson Tinker, his girlfriend Ashley Harrison, they all did exactly what James Spann always says, small room, near the center, away from windows, and she still got killed. And that one should've been an EF-5, and there are many in the weather enterprise who agree.

The question was if you had a chance to survive an F4/5 above ground. The answer is yes. Can you die? Absolutely, but it is not a sure thing in most cases. There are always exceptions to that rule. His answer was appropriate

Reed's always been my favorite stormchaser! The scariest tornado I've ever seen was the 2011 Joplin tornado!

David Drummond, Michael Phelps, and Mike Olbinski are currently the best Storm Chasers in the industry, pretty much everyone agrees on that. While Reed Timmer may not be the best Storm Chaser, there's no dispute that he's a media marketing whiz who knows how to promote storm chasing to a mass-audience via social media and various television networks, but he's not "the best storm chaser" by any stretch. As far as Reed Timmer being gay, and a proud member of the LGBT community, in no way does his same-sex orientation detract from his ability to profitably market his ideas and turn them into lucrative cash-cow enterprises. Many call Reed Timmer the (sic: gay) poster boy for professional storm chasing. Sexual orientation aside, he'll let nothing stand in the way of building his multimillion dollar media empire, a legacy that will likely prove difficult, if not impossible to beat, once he retires from professional storm chasing.
