Yeah last I heard was last year. He’s making a semi-tiv3 out of a Subaru. He added lexan windows and some front and rear spikes to it. Idk where he is currently
I’ve probably seen the first episode of storm chasers 560 times I love Sean Casey I actually watched him talk in front of me one time at the Perot museum and got to see the Tiv.
I've enjoyed watching the TIV and TIV 2's adventures over and over on Netflix. Looking forward to watching "Captain Nemo's" adventures soon. Have fun, and enjoy my friends.
Thegamer101135 he’s right. I remember how Discovery at times tried to make it seem like the teams were bitter rivals, all trying to outdo one another. Almost like a reality version of Twister.
A couple of years back, Reed spoke surprisingly seriously about building a vehicle for going out into a hurricane's storm surge, but I always believed that he was surely joking. He has subsequently been shown making a slightly scoffing, offhand reference to this pursuit while in his driveway in an episode of the latest season of his tornado chasing series, confirming for me that he was indeed joking all along. But now I wonder... even though I haven't noticed any real animosity expressed toward Sean in any of his subsequent work, might he have been taking a jab at this aspiration of Sean's all along? Given how good natured Reed is I kind of doubt it, but he seems to value having a good sense of humor so who knows, maybe it was a jovial reference to his own belief in its absurdity.
Hurricane hunters fly planes called miss piggy and Kermit. My brother was the flight engineer/ mechanic that would fly through the Hurricanes. They dubbed themselves hurricane hunters. Apparently there was an imax movie made with him in it That my nephew saw on a science school trip but I am unable to find it. 😟 His name: Rock Torrey. If anyone finds anything regarding it please put link here. I'd be grateful. I'm thinking it was in the mid nineties. He passed in 2015 and as per his request i believe his ashes were released during flight thru Hurricane Henry.
Sean is such a show off. I used to watch his episodes filming his film. Oh boy loves showing off. Can’t believe he finally made the movie. Never was anywhere where to tornado was
I tell you the truth, I had the idea of building a tank and driving into a tornado to film the inside of it 25 years ago because I was fascinated by tornadoes and still am. This is the man who stole my idea.
I had no idea Dr. Wurman's dad founded TED. The more you know. I loved Storm Chasers so much, I wish Discovery would have renewed it for more seasons.
I feel like they would have if The el Reno tornado didn’t cause the deaths of some members of team TWISTEX
I met him in 2016 and he gave us a ride in the TIV 2. Unforgettable memories! Anyone heard anything from Sean recently?
Heard he is going to work on a project with a Subaru.
That’s awesome is it how you imagined

I really enjoyed this talk by Sean Casey and I loved Storm Chasers. The TIV is definitely one of the coolest vehicles built!
I saw his Imax movie at the Museum of science and industry in Chicago. It needs an award of some kind.
accobra62 is the movie in disc?

It just wouldn't be the same without Tim
Thegamer101135 would be great to reboot it in his memory though
@@RichieWilliams97 he hated the show because he felt it was too focused on the drama and not the storms

Cody Wallace r he had the means to do something you couldn’t. Perhaps.
Whatever became of TIV1 & TIV2?
Did he scrap out TIV1? TIV2?
If not, are they in storage somewhere???
TIV2 was sold by Sean after the hood broke and it cost him too much to repair it. It has since been restored and is back chasing storms.
And tiv1 was found and was abandoned and then found by a guy and it's being restored as we speak or it's scrapped by now
Omg- Sean's funny af- xD Go Team Tiv
Is he being serious about the aquaTIV
you Are Awesome Sean Sorry for my stupid comments . I wish you good luck with aquativ
wait Sean had hair
Thats it? 8 minutes?😕
I know, right? Eight minutes on this subject is highly disappointing. Shoulda been a half hour or longer.
@@sierratrilogy Should've been an hour longer
Sean l hope you get more videos for your IMAX movie.
Wait, this is the psychopath from the show? Haha ok
