Joffrey was a coward. Aegon fights his own battles.
Joffrey was a psycho. Aegon well has his own problems, but I find him also much more relatable than geoffrey, because he has a much more human relatable character, even if his character is also problematic. At least you can understand him. Geoffrey just had no empathy what so ever.
