I got my dream car wanting to keep it clean I do now but I wanna get paint correction to clean it up and a ceramic coat. Should I do that b4 I spend 90$ on this to do it myself? Or should I wait to add all that then buy it to add this if needed ?

I did Xpel Fusion on my matte ppf full car wrap! This ceramic is a nightmare, very hard to spread and leave strix very easy! I used HALO a couple times, in my opinion, for wrapped car, HALO is the best choice! Nice video Kayla, keep the amazing job you are doing! =)
I’ve actually used both XPEL Fusion and Halo. Both are very different coatings. Fusion Flashes very fast and takes a lot more focus than Halo BUT it feels incredible if it’s properly installed. Halo is much more user friendly and works great! I have Fusion on the Camaro, Halo on the Civic 😅

I am not going to lie. That G wagon looks sharp. What year is it? You should do a video on it. Curious how would you rate doing the wrap? Harder than tint? I have tried my hand at tint a few times and I get OCD about it and end up paying to have someone do it.
I could definitely do a video with it in the future. It’s not built, mostly OEM but a wonderful vehicle to have. I have never personally timed a vehicle before but yes I would say it’s much harder than tint.
@@KaylaRundle I was curious about the brake lights on your Camaro. Is there a tint on the light or is it a different tail light to give it that pixelated pattern?
Did you use the same towel in the entire process?
Just fold it in fourths and use both sides. Making 8 sides of the microfiber new for every panel. Then make sure to throw away towel once you’re done and never re-use as it would scratch your paint with hardened ceramic.

We swapped the stock turbos for the upgraded new bigger turbos on the newer models lol but that’s about it. It’s already perfect

awesome! I've used a couple ceramic coatings on paint before and didn't really have awesome results for the cost, but on a wrap I could see it being a big help. was this one made specifically for wraps or just a generic product?

@@KaylaRundle Cool thanks. I have a car to paint this spring, but since watching you learn on the civic i've been thinking about giving wrap a try. My concern was just with the amount of dirt/salt on our roads here, but I hadn't considered a ceramic coat, maybe it wouldn't be too bad 🤔

When you first use the microfibre towel you are not "wiping off" the coating.....you are actually leveling it to remove high/low spots before final buff.
Yes you are right. I try to cross reference it to be similar to "waxing a car" to make it easier to understand for people watching. The correct term is leveling- in my opinion it's the most important step of ceramic coating.
You should get a different coating to protect the ceramic coating.

What the hell is there to protect when u live in a sunny state where theres no dirt/rain/snow/corrosion? Sun protection perhaps?
Sun is very harsh here causing clear coat failure and vinyl wraps to fade & crack.
I'm looking for advice. I, too, am considering putting ceramic on my vinyl wrap. In my research, I'm finding mixed opinions regarding whether it's worth wiping the vinyl down with ceramic. I'm leaning more toward the conclusion that it is, but I'd love to read some comments.

Go for it! You should absolutely ceramic coat a vinyl wrap. Just be sure to "level" it correctly and take your time doing small sections. Goodluck!
@@KaylaRundle let me ask you this though. Would you install full coverage clear bra PPF over wiping it down with ceramic?
@@ericred8124 NO DO NOT ceramic coat a vehicle and THEN apply Protective film. The ceramic coating is a protective layer so it would create adhesion issues with your protective film. You want the paint to be clean with no protection on it before installing your clear bra. The PPF will even hide scratches in the paint so don’t stress yourself out!

your another one who hides the fact that its difficult to actually wipe the stuff off. lol.
I agree that it's the hardest part to perfect. With the proper ceramic coating product, it does not take force to wipe off. You just have to make sure it flashes for the proper amount of time (too long will make it more difficult) & that you remove it thoroughly.
