I feel slightly sick to my stomach. The original was my most trusted friend in the wicked heat and humidity of the summer. She never let me down. Dior is playing games with my face….

So sad that the original will be discontinued. That has been my go-to foundation for years now. It’s the perfect formula and shade, and the price is reasonable compared to other high end brands. I don’t think I’ll bother to try the new formula since luminous just doesn’t work with my oily/combo skin. Now searching for a similar formula that has soft matte finish without looking cakey

Thanks for reviewing old/new! Both sides look Beautiful! I still love the coverage of the original one better. It gives a soft matte finish and it last all day. It’s a bummer they changed it. You look beautiful as always 💕
I finally discovered the Dior backstage after Fenty discontinued the hydrating foundation. On my first bottle, very sad and savouring it.
I am SO glad I have 2 full bottles of the OG. I have one that’s a “summer” shade & one that’s my “winter” shade, so I can make sure it lasts me a long time. I hate when they try to fix things that’s NOT broken. Why mess with it? I get maybe taken the fragrance out but leave the actual coverage formula.
Dior shouldn’t have discontinued the old !! Omg it’s my favorite outdoor summer foundation😢😢 I might need to go back to mac face and body foundation 😅😢😢

Thank you for the comparison of old vs new. Dior Backstage has been my go-to foundation for my oily skin. So convenient for travel, I can use it light to medium coverage - I usually don’t use powder or mattifying primer, just by itself and I’m good for the whole day. Sadly, with the new formula I will not be re-purchase Dior Backstage Foundation. 😢

I have both and I need to say that the new Formula is much more hydrating (for me in the winter, it's a lifesaver) the old one is better in the summertime 'cause it's so matte.
I have WAY too many foundations to worry about expiration dates 😂😂😂.....

I like the way that original looked on you even from the get-go. Super bummed that the original is discontinued. Ironically, I ordered a sample of 2N (original) and was just trying it out today. I thought I’d look at some videos of how people apply it and what primer they pair it with….back to the drawing board😂

Thanks for the great review -- I watched two of your reviews for these foundations. Did the new one settle a bit into your smile line, or am I seeing things? I stocked up on the old one from ebay right before they discontinued it because I saw it was scarce at Sephora.
I like the new one. You really don't have a choice anymore. Did you use that brow color or did you do them your old way. Very pretty 🙂❤

i had no idea they had reformulated this foundation. it is so far my fave foundation, and i was about to repurchase it cuz mine is running out. now im not sure if im going to buy it. i´ll try to have a sample to test it first, otherwise im looking for a different one. why change something that is working well??? i´ll never understand

There are ENDLESS glowy, luminous foundations out there, so Dior had a special niche of being a long-lasting, SATIN foundation for us dry-skinned gals. Now it's no different from NARS, Lancome, etc. What a loss 😢

They should have released the new one as a glow version and kept the original. The original I was the best.
I was very upset to open my new bottle of 3w that is very much lighter than the old one...i like the old formula better this one is thick when i smile it makes creases, it makes me look older. With the old formula i could smile all day and not a crease.
