Thanks for the comparison, there is a larger version of the Esbit cooker.
    Could be worth comparing...

Just found your channel & subscribed! I have & use both esbit & coghlan's stoves & fuel more or less interchangeably, and they work just fine unless it's windy- then a little dab of hand sanitizer makes it easier to light.
Off to check out your videos:)

Outstanding, thank you for subscribing. Love the hand sanitizer trick, been using that one since my SAR days. Thank you for mentioning it, as it’s a great idea I should have noted. Hope you enjoy my other vids 👍

Use smaller esbit cubes or get a bigger esbit stove! I have both and prefer esbit

Coglands stove is simular to bcb british millitary stove. Same idear uses hexamine tabs or other solid fuels can be used with a spirit burner.
Can i give some advice hexamine tabs are very toxic, not recomended for indoor use. Need to be done outside.

I have both stoves. I’ll take my Esbit every time. Love the small size fits in my pack best. Double zip lock takes care of the smell.
I trim the Esbit cubes slightly (but not break the seal) I fit cubes nicely. Esbit wins for me.

Jeez, I've always gotten boil out of the Esbit at between 6 & 7 minutes. Don't know why it took 9 minutes to boil with your test. Never mind, I had a lid on mine.

    Did the tablets stink ?

The Esbit has an odor when you open the package, and when lit. I’m pretty sure I mentioned that in the vid. The Esbit has a strong odor before it’s lit… like you WILL know if the package came open in your ruck. Once it’s lit, not so bad but still noticeable.
The other one, nothing when out of the package, slight but expected odor when lit.
      Thanks for watching 👍

The 'smell' .. much ado over not much.
