Just a quick FAQ to answer some of your questions. Hopefully this will clear up some confusion. *What exactly will be transferred?* Everything. Accounts, Game installations, DLC, Save data, PS4 themes, Menu options, ect. You are essentially creating a copy of your entire PS4 hard drive. Unsynced trophy data may not transfer so be sure to sync first. *Will any of my data be deleted?* The PS4 you're transferring data from does not lose any of its data. It only makes a copy of everything. The only change will be which console is considered primary by your account. _All data on the new PS4 will be erased before the actual transfer._ This process is best used when the new PS4 is fresh out of the box. *What if I already have save data on my new PS4?* If the new PS4 already has save data that you don't want to lose, copy the data to a USB flash drive or the cloud. Data can be loaded back onto the system afterwards. Keep in mind save data is only compatible with the account it was created on. *Do I need WiFi?* A wireless connection is not necessary, but both consoles will need internet to verify your account. You can wire both consoles to the same router (one with internet) instead of wiring the consoles to each other. Choose LAN instead of WiFi when following the video. All other steps in the video will be the same. *Can I choose which accounts are transferred?* You can choose which accounts are transferred. You will be prompted to select/deselect accounts during this process. *Can I choose which games are transferred?* You cannot choose which games are transferred. All of them will copy over. You can delete game installations beforehand if you want to speed up the transferring process. Keep your sava data and you can re-download DLC and games from the internet or discs afterwards. *Will my PS Plus membership transfer?* PS Plus status will transfer over. PS Plus is tied to your account online and is active on Sony's servers regardless of the system you're on. You will only need to set your current PS4 as primary to access all features. *Why does it tell me I need to sign in?* Make sure both systems have access to the internet. Be sure your original PS4 is set to automatically sign into your account as you will not be able to do it manually when you can only display the new PS4. *Why does my transfer get stuck?* If your transfer process gets stuck for an unreasonably long time, it's possible some of your data is corrupt. Try deleting all of your game installations and DLC, but keep your sava data and transfer again. You can re-download DLC and games from the internet or discs afterwards. If the transfer process still gets stuck, it's likely there is corrupt save data. If you cannot spot which data is corrupt, you can arduously copy your individual save files onto a USB flash drive or the cloud and see if something doesn't transfer. USB flash drives are best for PS4 if you format the flash drive to exFAT. The default FAT32 may transfer very slowly. If save data does not transfer in any way, this is an indication that it is corrupt and will have to be deleted. Corrupt data can be a serious pain.
Seriously thank you so very much for this. I was worried my wife's profile would not be transferred but as you were very detailed in your description of the process that worry was alleviated. Thank you so much.
Thank you sooooooo much!!. I have looked at so many different guides and none of them make sense. This one clears things up, I'll be ready to use my new system in no time :).

Hey i have a question so this is basically copying the game right? Not moving them so after the transfer is done both of the ps4 have The same game Right?
Good day! I wanted to ask two things regarding this method. 1) will it work if the second PS4 already has been logged onto by the same PSN account, and 2) do you think this could work if transferring PT (that Silent Hills demo that Kojima made that can no longer be downloaded thanks to Konami)? I have been hanging onto my original PS4 for years just because of that demo, but if I can transfer it properly to my PS4 Pro than I can sell away the original. Thanks!
I have a question. Please heart when you reply. So my playstaion needed a full reboot wiping everything out due to corrupted files. I have my account on my sons playstation along with games we play together. Can I do this transfer and use my account and set it as my primary and will he still be able to play on his playstation on his account with out me signing him out?
Thanks for the vid. Made it super easy. I coulda figured it out but this saved me some time. For people that gave it a thumbs down, F THEM. U didn't have to do this. For the rest of us, however, much love.

You will have to delete everything off of the old system and initialize it again. So, there will be no trace of your old data. I know you made this video a whole ago but basically my parents are divorced and I switch houses every week so if I play something like spider man and go to the other PlayStation will everything go there because I use Xbox rn but I'm thinking about switching to ps5 when it comes out
Well you can download games from the PlayStation Store in your library from the cloud from your Playstation network account so you don't really need to transfer data from one PS4 to another if you just want one particular game or something
very helpful, but when you transfer the data will you be able to play on the old ps4 at the same time as the new one, not on the same account ofcourse but on different accounts.

Hopefully we'll be able to do something akin to this with the PS5. As in, transferring data from a PS4 to a PS5.

Does it consumes internet data while transferring? Or is it only consumes internet because you have to sign in with your PSN?
Does the transferring itself requires 200gb of internet or does it happen without internet?
