- It's the picturesque county best known for quaint pubs, and rose-covered cottages... but Midsomer isn't exactly the safest place to live. Over the last three decades, the deadly villages have seen more than 388 murders, and an additional 250 attempted murders. But luckily Neil Dudgeon (DCI Barnaby) and Nick Hendrix (DS Winter) are always on hand to solve the crime. As the hit crime show returns, our favourite detective duo are here to tell us more.

I bought an Acorn or Britbox account, and I get them as they are aired. If you can spare 5 bucks a month, it's worth it! I don't have to wait for the licensing and the localizations.

I have always loved this series. Hope it just keeps on going and going! I wish there were at least 6 episodes per season.

I agree 👍 💯 with you wholeheartedly!!!!!! The ones here all have the same storyline. For example, all the CSI shows have the same storyline. You seen one, you have seen them all. Next will probably be CSI USA😂😂😂
I appreciate the talent of older actors, no dependence on sound effects(except that great theme music), beautiful scenery, non "beautified" performers, several murders but with style and always keeps one guessing! I'm addicted to all the British mysteries but Midsomer Murders is second to none! @@rudolphbazemore4456

I'm in the US and watch MSM on AcornTV. There are 25 seasons on there.
I’ve been watching it for a while….I’m in NORTH CAROLINA USA..seems like over a year but not sure..

I have been watching this on PBS since the first season. wish PBS and you tube would get the new ones. me and my mother, my brother absolutely LOVE this show. but here in the USA we don't get everything. and I keep watching the old episodes. you don't get tired of them. ( and John Nettles said he di not know why here in the USA like this show...really. it is a great show that's why).
John Nettles will always be Blackboard Monitor Vimes in my mind as I re-read over and over the Discworld books.

There are a couple I go right by. The ones with the old lady who spied and was murdered and came back as her sister.
If I start watching from Episode 1 of Season 1 again, maybe I’ll be finished by the time this new series shows on Acorn. This will be my 3rd watch of the 22 or 23 seasons.😊

I love love love MSM. Watched from the first episode Killing at Badgers Drift. The best show ever! Think every other British show I've seen since I can recognize an actor from MSM. I don't know their names but I can tell you which episode they were in.

Why has Nick Hendrix had to change his accent? He's very well spoken in the series but live on tv he has a very different accent.

AcornTV has 25 seasons. I think I'm paying $89 a year for it now. Well worth it compared to the cost of the other streaming services.

@@terrylabonte3499 Sorry, they call them series, not seasons, and the number of episodes varies. Sometimes there's four, sometimes there's six. And I checked again, there are 24 series on AcornTV, but there is a 25 Years of Mayhem anniversary special, along with 10 year anniversary special.

I just saw the episode (again) where Neil played the lothario gardener hitting on Joyce Barnaby. It was so much fun to watch..knowing that he would later take return as a Barnaby. He did well as a skirt chasing cad.
Yes... I hated that but he was great.. I kept thinking "you're Barneby's cousin who takes his place".

I bought all episodes I was allowed to buy on Apple ! My favorite show of all time! I am 72 so I have seen some tv in my 7 decades.
In the states I can only watch MSM on YT. I did binge watch all the shows Netflix had on awhile ago. I was sick at the time. There was no Poirot on so I clicked.
Some Brit was savvy enough to create Britbox and many shows are only available there. 😉

I'm in the states and I must say I enjoy watching British TV much more. I found this show Midsomer Murders this summer and I have binged the whole series and just finished this one. I hope they never cancel it!! Yes they've switched over leads and it just kept on rolling.. love it! I do laugh and say goodness.. if it were a real place that is one to stay away from😂 you may end up killed lol.

People commented that Betty, Barnaby's daughter, ages alot of years between seasons. Why don't they just use a different actress closer to previous age. I don't think anyone would notice.

i luv the series!!! great writer to come up with a different quaint town or burg every week and my fav was the green man. beautiful night scenes and gorgeous animals. then the other fav was the one with the nuns and the chicken coop, and my other fav one is...yes, all of them i have watched several times and just cuz usa has bbc dont mean we get bbc current, only bbc old. cuz now bbc wants $ so a subscription is necessary but no promise of current. hope to see more asap

Love Midsummer Murders …I was hoping Annette Badland would have been replaced as her casting I’ve never found believable & in this latest series she is now too old it’s time to rethink & replace her. I’ve seen her in other stuff but she’s all wrong in midsummer.
