I always appreciate that people put the time in to provide us with reviews, so thank you. IMO, reviewers need to stop complaining about transmitters that aren't suited to one-handed driving. Nearly all of you do this. This may be a critical issue for the dozens of video reviewers, but it's a complete non-issue for the [tens, hundreds of] thousands of consumers. Either let it go, or invest in a hands-free camera mount that lets you use two hands to work the transmitter, as the designers intended. I hope you can take this as a constructive criticism. No offense is meant.
🤣 Feedback is always welcome. 👍 I drive one handed even when not filming. But the point really is the transmitter isn't great and the wheel is really stiff, whether you use it one handed or two handed. 👍 As I said in the video, it's cheap, but you get what you pay for and can't really expect more.
@@MangoJim90yup, I'm for one who found it absurd. Continuously nitpicking on the blinking light signal, it felt like he was out of points for content review lmao. I mean it's a subjective preference, plus there's no harm in having the additional feature. if he really hates it he could just plug the cable out lol.
@yekit485 I also hate indicators! 🤣 At the end of the day the reviewer is also giving their opinion on things they like or don't like. In my opinion that's important, otherwise we're just zombies and we'd just be telling you information you already know. Everything can be subjective at the end of day. Just my 2p 👍
I put the axles inside the leaf springs, like on a real one. Leaned over, all you need is for the springs to bounce a tiny bit, and it falls over. Putting the axles on top lowered it and solved the problem. I also removed the bumpers, they get in the way, terrible approach and departure angle with bumpers on.
The electronics and axles may be junk, but you can buy this one for close to the same price as a Bushido clear body and have a great starting point for a build. I had a 1:1 Hardtop Jimny (Samurai) for many years and miss it every day.
Yeah, they're first tenth scale crawler though. Can't remember what I said in the video, but yeah possibly forgot about the vans, but they're RWD so not a crawler. I really like their older stuff like the C24, but their newer stuff has gone downhill. Compared to a decent crawler this is rubbish really. An MN82 is better than this and half the price. 👍
Good review of a nicely done cheap rig. FYI the screw in pin on my front left leaf was not in the leaf hole. The leaf was just stuck in the bracket. I repaired that and it leveled the front out. A slight oops from WPL I suppose.
@NorthYorkshireTrains Oh good choice, the LDRC Unimog is much better imo. Really nice suspension movement, much nicer scale body and an all round better rig. More expensive yes, but definitely worth it. 👍
Hey its WPL every WPL owner now its not high grade electronics mechanichs but you get one of the most scale shells for the dollar ! With some more spent money you have the choice too upgrade any part buts stock its do his job also but not so well. 90 % WPL fans have order one ,me too ha ha!
🤣 Excellent, well hope you like it. 👍 I can see the reason why people get them, that's why I got it myself. As I said in the video, it's cheap, so you can't expect the world. 👍😁
if you don't own a better crawler, or two, then put the money towards a good one... id much rather have a real crawler before getting this or you'll ruin your impressions on the hobby...
The kit versions come with softer tire compounds. Do not buy the RTR versions unless it is a gift and meant as a toy. And yes I know there isn't a kit version for the C74 yet, but I mention this because you talked about WPL and not this specific model.
@TheBod76 You're probably still better off just buying better tyres for it. I've tried the softer WPL tyres for the B36 and they're still not great compared to buying a decent set of tyres from Injora or LGRP, Proline etc 👍
@@TheBod76the tires included in the c74 RTR are actually the same as what’s going to be coming with the kit version, for all the other WPL models though the kit tires are for sure the way to go
Rubbish. The whole point of the WPL models is the rare beautiful bodies. Here, the manufacturer simply put on a dull, faceless gray body on the same flimsy useless chassis. Finally give us a NEW chassis, with normal components! In which the buyer will not need to change absolutely ALL details to normal ones on the first day after purchase.
🤣 So you like it then! 🤣😬 I completely get what you're saying, it's very cheap for what it is, but with that comes a more toy grade rig imo. If I could only have 1 RC, I'd spend more money and get something else! 🤣😬
Is it really 1/10 though? Looks 1/12....i just want a budget light-trail truck and no i dont buy the actual jimneys were small spiel either!!! If they advertise as 1/10 it better be rc scale 1/10 and if its true 1/10 id be keen af!
The thing is, most 1/10's these days aren't actually 1/10. Take the Traxxas TRX4, Redcat Gen8, FMS FCX10 etc, they're all not a true 1/10. Tamiya get the closest scale rigs and their 1/10's are tiny in comparison to a TRX4 etc. Easiest way is look at the measurements. Either way it's not a very good rig tbh and you could buy better imo. 👍

NO. Definitely not. Unless.... You want to get one for your kid's. Then they can follow you out on the trail. And honestly, I'd get it just to dress it up and set it on the shelf. Maybe. Probably. Idk. 😊
🤣 I can see the attraction when it's so cheap. It's like with the C24 etc as well, they're super cheap, but then you have to remember you're not getting much for that little money you've spent. For another $60 you could have an FCX24 Unimog which is like a million times better imo. 👍
These are same axles they use in their other cheap stuff. They are complete trash, worse even than other cheap toy rcs on Amazon or Walmart. Yeah they're not the best. It's very cheap and cheerful. Personally I'd just spend a bit more and get a better rig straight out the box. Will save time and hassle! 👍

Awesome Unboxing and Review of a amazing cool RC Jimny ❤
Thanks very much mate, appreciate it. 👍
But it really made me appreciate my TRX’s traction, power and speed!
If you've got a TRX4, there's no comparison really. It would be like comparing a Lada and a Ferrari! 🤣👍

Yeah it's definitely more of a platform with a half decent hard body, but definitely needs upgrades to be any good. 👍
This shape Suzuki was the first car I had a roll in 😂 my friends dad used his old series Landy to winch it back over haha
🤣 Sounds like an adventure! 🤣👍
At 15 it sure was 😂😂
I love your shorts and the videos too!
Thanks very much, appreciate it. 👍😁
every wpl i have had is great, also this is not their first 1/10 scale model like you said, they actually made some 1/10 vans before this

cool rc and run,great overview
Thanks very much mate 👍
it looks great! it does make some annoying noises though! LOL!! Would still be a fun one to detail up and try and fix a few of the noises!
Yeah the noises are horrible. 🤣
It definitely needs upgrades to make it better. 👍
I have one on the way. Nice review and run
Ah cool, hope you like it. 👍 I'm kind of on the fence with this one tbh, but with some mods it'll be much better. 👍
Thanks very much 👍
I think this is a nice scale jimny mate like you said with an upgrade I reckon that would perform nicely I'm gonna have a look at getting one 😀 👍
Cool, hope you like it. I quite like the body and interior, that's kinda what you're paying for really, with a basic chassis attached! 🤣👍
80 vucks, okay. It's more kind of a display model with lots of details which also can drive. Outside it does a good job, but this noise...🤨
🤣 Yeah the noise was horrible! It was OK on the trail. With better electronics and tyres I'm sure it'll be much better. 👍
Agree but still like it and if I ever own one will do upgrades for sure.
That's cool, I can see why people like WPL. I'll be upgrading mine soon. 👍
Looks like I'll just buy the MN brand. Many people say it's MN toy grade, at least they match the price. MN's body can be used as a display...
Yeah the MN82 is a much better rig. 👍
finally! questions are answered. thank you so much!
hoping for another video of this , maybe modifying or upgrading it? 😁🍻
Glad it was helpful. 👍
Yep upgrades will be coming soon. 👍
You’d have to pay me $80 to take this and run it lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
lol

Thanks very much 👍
I did say in the video I would be adding a driver, but wanted to test it without first. 👍
The newer gear box lacks the right low gearing the after market single speed or the old two speed is still the way to go
Yeah I think a 2 speed would be good. The dual rate switch is pretty pointless imo! 👍
I always watch your videos 👍 Please keep sharing my friends🤩🤝🎶

I thought most of the D series was 1/10th scale rc too
Yeah you're right, can't even remember what I said in the video now! 🤣🤦

Look's more like 1/12 scale to me it look's to be around the size of the WPL C34 which is 1/12 scale.....
It is small, but if you like at the measurements it's a true tenth scale. Real Jimnys are tiny! 🤣👍
Wpl definately needs a better tire compound
