@JeromePowell-t9p i got tired of evacuating for hurricanes. 2022 during the pandemic Louisiana had 12 hurricanes hit that year. 6 of those major category 3 or above. 2 of those 6 major cat hurricanes hit the same city twice ( Cameron) I evacuated 3 times that year and was just over it. After I lost a car due to the transmission going out. Stopped for an oil change when evacuating to ATL. They drained my transmission fluid and I ran from LA to GA there and back no fluid not knowing what was in store. Transmission literally went out when I parked in my driveway when coming back. It is not supposed to get this cold so far south. There is never supposed to be a blizzard in New Orleans, Louisiana. This is the earth shaking us off like a bad case of fleas.
The phrase is Stay Home. There is no equipment, cars are not bought for snowy conditions in NOLA, and tire treads on the car next to you might be bad, even if you are personally ready to drive in snow.
In around 1996 we had a few inches in NOLA. I didn’t have kids. I worked downtown. I waited till everyone went home in the bar on the first floor. I’m in Central FL now. It’s fooking cold and there is snow in Tallahassee. I don’t think I’ll see snow here, but the rain is pouring.
