How did we let so much of our production slip away, knowing we’d become dependent on another country for even the most basic things? The answer is simple: greedy CEOs sold us out, and the government let it happen. Profits were put over people, and now we’re seeing the consequences. So the real question is-when do we start taking back control and making our own again?

Vance couldn't run a lemonade stand.

Any comment from the Christians yet, they are very quiet now.
I've never in my life seen Christians stand up against anything.
We all know you love russia better than your own country.
What does Russia have to do with this?
What's to love?
Shameful abuse of our friends. Only our enemies benefit front this crazy behavior
Trudeau might be your friend. The rest of us don’t hang around with idiots.
😢
Head's up, maintenance on the hydro power lines feeding the eastern seaboard, 5 minutes before Superbowl kickoff ! 😳🤦♂️😂
Yeah, what about the crude pipelines too? That would be hilarious.
Good luck America. Trump hasn't spoken one sentence without a lie..... believe me we will not be BULLIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What are you talking about? Tariffs were one of his biggest campaign promises.
Do China look scared? Bring more tariff and see who will suffer most????????
This is funny too because I’m pretty sure a good portion of Canada’s fentanyl comes from the US yet we deal with that domestically because our leadership is at least semi-competent
Is there a way that Canada and the rest of the NATO countries and any countries that we trade with can do more business with each other and get supplies from each other that’s needed?
Trudeau has already met with Claudia Sheinbaum about this and they're planning on leaving Americans out of a lot of buying power. This is just a beginning.
Don’t ask them. They don’t know either
It will definitely happen
Yes. We can’t trust that Americans will honour trade agreements anymore. The US can’t be our biggest trading partner any longer. We will start selling more to the rest of the world.
As an American and Veteran, I will be making it a point to avoid buying American-made products and instead buying Canadian and Mexican products. It will cost more, I won't have as much, but then I don't need much. Having lived as a homeless person and having spent 30 years of constant struggle all my way to homeownership, I know how to do without and sacrifice for a long-term goal. I am MORE than able to wait out the ignorance and terrorism of donald trump and come out the other side having stayed true to morality, ethics and basic human decency. Besides I am an American and I am not about to allow someone else, much less a convicted rapist and child abuser, to control what I buy and from whom I buy it.
Canada should immediately halt all steel and lumber shipments and in doing so shutter the doors of American industry, Canada should immediately halt all supply of electricity causing widespread power outages and paralyzing the entire Eastern Seaboard.
Mexico should halt all supply of fruits and vegetables as well as halting all trade to America that travels through their territory.
AND RUMOR HAS IT that the EU is reconsidering their own trade relations with America. I for one hope they go ahead and end trade to America.
trump's incompetent trade wars during his first four years, pushed China and Russia together into a mutual trade and military alliance which in turn enabled Putin to invade Ukraine. Now trump's incompetence threatens to push our allies into closer ties with China.
Trump's incompetence and arrogant ignorance is a direct threat to America's national security AND America's economy.
You are NOT a Veteran or American Amigo...
@@johnmartinelli4006 a veteran stands by his/her oath to the US Constitution rather than loyalty to an unhinged madman who is busy destroying America and undermining the US Constitution. That is what the oath of enlistment is all about. Opposition to trump is a moral obligation, an ethical obligation, a religious obligation, an obligation borne from human decency and an obligation under sacred oath.
I am and will always be American patriot opposed to donald trump and MAGA fascism.
MAGA are the self declared domestic enemy of the US Constitution spoken of in the oath.
When I was a kid playing with my toys, I noticed something-every single one of them said Made in China. And even back then, I had a thought: What if China ever got mad at us? All they’d have to do is stop making our toys, and just like that, we’d have nothing to play with.
Now, if a little girl could figure that out, how did America miss the bigger picture? How did we let so much of our production slip away, knowing we’d become dependent on another country for even the most basic things? The answer is simple: greedy CEOs sold us out, and the government let it happen. Profits were put over people, and now we’re seeing the consequences. So the real question is-when do we start taking back control and making our own again?
Well said
It's all about the money.
Free Luigi, then copy paste Luigi
But you haven’t figured it out. You just think you have.
It’s gonna look good on you MR TRUMP 👎 your first month not so good
Gonna start buying Donald Trump "I did that!" Stickers
He’s delusional.
Lifting tariffs on North Korea and Russia next ..
Why only 10% on China. Trump has business interests in China
The church food pantry in Florida was so busy today, they had to stay open for 2 hours past closing. I've never seen it so busy and I've been going there for 4 years.
why so many poor people?
25% Tariff on your allies Canada and Mexico but only a 10% tarrif on your adversary China? In what world does that make sense?
China is a superpower is why
Thats were Ivanka has her crap made.
You have to have at least read an economics article sometime in your life.
Watch how high everything is going now. Then the price gouging again. Plus the tariffs from the other countries.
You should panic.
A cousin in NY is having a 1st super-bowl party. I told'm, forget it & go to his dad's house & watch it. He's got a generator, & Canada might decide to cut all electrical power to NY the mid-west, & New England a couple seconds after opening kick off in N.O.! You don't need our resources Mr. pres? Then do without. You don't need the closest most secure trading route you'll ever have & for unlimited natural resources. OK! There's a big world to trade with. Unlike what JFK said in Ottawa, in 1961 - before the Parliament in Ottawa, "Geography has made us neighbors. History has made us friends. Economics has made us partners. And necessity has made us allies. Those whom nature hath so joined together, let no man put asunder". Well, pres. trump, YOU & the US just DID, "put asunder", & it'll never be the same again. Cdn's are PO'D! WHAT have you done?
Wow, tariffying, haha
He did tariffs before everything will be fine spare us the drama, also the US is sick and tired of paying for everything and defending everyone for free as our so-called friends do little to help
$830 isn't a lot. What if we did this to fight climate change and avoid exploiting child labour
Has there ever been a dummer president in this country. I dare say NO.
As a Canadian, if the USA wants a divorce, I'll be happy to sign the papers and be ride of this abuse relationship. Make Canada Great Again!!!
I need to buy a big button for my coat that says “I did not vote for Trump“😢
Hoover did this and it brought the great depression
IMPEACH

That’s dead.
@ronaldslater6711 ur💀🤫
Great , Americans will pay more for stuff imported from those countries ..... 😊
TDS is strong here. Enjoy because for the last 4 years you loved Joey B. Those of us in family owned agriculture were absolutely devastated by the left and the last administration. And we are loving this administration.
Amen Brother!
Won’t be good on the US to get 25% tariffs from Canada, 25% from Mexico, and 10% from China. Each country got 25% or 10%. But the US all together will get 60% tariffs.
The tariffed products are different and come from different countries. However, the tariffs enter the US economy together
you must have voted for Trump. WE here in Canada, are not paying the tariff. YOU in the US of A is paying it. In other words, those tariffs have made our products more expensive, but WE are not paying it. YOU ARE.
@@imisstoronto3121yeah true but we pay the tariffs that are imposed on us goods it isnt good for no one on either side of the border
I thought the family didn't want their daughters identity to be revealed.
I get going after Mexico to end the narco-state, but why the hell is Canada being put in the same category as Mexico?
Why retaliate with their own tariffs? Cost is going to increase for their citizens that way. Instead, Canada and Mexico should not have reacted with retaliatory tariffs and should have celebrated the bonanza of high tariffs imposed by Trump. No one can replace their products and their exporters would have made 25% more money.
If you want to be horrified, read the comments made on the Fox News RUclips channel regarding tariffs on Canada. There are 2 different universes existing within the borders of the United States. I was looking forward to taking a summer vacation to British Columbia, but now I am worried they will hate us.
Trump doesn’t even care about his own citizens🤦🏽♂️
"I don't care about you. I just want your vote."

@lilhomieg8465,
Potential pros of the Trump Tariffs...
-Protecting American industries:
One of the most frequently cited advantages of tariffs is their potential to shield domestic industries from foreign competition. Taxing imports allows American consumers to buy domestically produced goods, potentially preserving jobs in key sectors.
-Increasing federal revenue:
Tariffs provide an additional revenue stream for the US government. As importers pay duties on foreign goods, the federal treasury benefits from these payments, creating a short-term economic boost.
-Encouraging domestic manufacturing
Supporters argue that tariffs incentivise companies to manufacture goods in the United States. By raising the cost of imported goods, businesses may find it more cost-effective to keep operations within national borders, bolstering supply chain resilience and contributing to national security.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Countries most affected by Trump Tariffs...
-China: Additional 10% tariffs on Chinese goods during Trump's first presidency reduced its GDP by an estimated 0.68%.
-Mexico: A proposed 25% tariff on Mexican imports would severely harm its economy, as the US is its largest trading partner.
-Canada: Facing a similar 25% tariff, Canada's economy would be hit hard, given that 75% of its exports go to the US.
-European Union: While only sometimes directly targeted, the EU, particularly Germany, could face significant losses due to its reliance on exports, especially in the automotive sector.

Trump's legacy on trade...
By the end of Trump's presidency in 2021, tariffs had been applied to US$370bn worth of Chinese goods. While the Biden administration has made some modifications, these measures remain in place.
As Trump once declared, "Trade wars are good and easy to win," reflecting his belief in tariffs as a core element of his economic strategy.
The debate over the Trump Tariffs highlights their polarising nature. While they aim to protect American interests, their broader economic implications highlight the complex interplay between national policies and global markets.
@lilhomieg8465,
You don't know what you are talking about!
This will work in Trump's and the U.S.' favor!
Just wait, and see!
He never did care. He only cares about himself and how he will personally gain.
Time to buy Merican again! Yeaaaaaaah! American maple syrup and tequila!
Sorry Canada, I'm American like the 50 percent of Americans who can't stand Donald Vonshiztenpants. Canada is a Beautiful country, I've visited often.
Tariffs only rise prices- I was getting gas locally at $2.35 per gallon before the election- I just saw it $3.09 this morning
trump has no clue what he’s doing…
Yes, he does. Stop being clueless.
As if living in America wasn’t expensive enough!!
They need to return the favor and impose Tariffs on America, Trump is the year of Inflation
It's already done. Starts tuesday. It's a double edge sword for both americans and canadians. Prices will go up across the board. Mexico also retaliated. If china follows suite then american citizens are unfortunately going to suffer and its all because of trump.
Why does msm look at short term? Whatever serves WEF is what they do. I wish our supposed news agencies really loved our great nation. What a shame, anything for a dollar.
If American citizens pay for Trump's tariffs, Canadians Citizen will pay 4 times as much.
Both sides will pay. The relationship will suffer irreparable damage.
Correction, trade wars will slow down the global economy, so everyone suffers. Canada will probably start trading with China more frequently, so their economy won't be hit as hard as the US.
Drugs 😂 the demand is Here. That's like Mexico handing over a tariff on account of guns. Excuses. That's all he's got.
Canada's water, our 'White Gold,' is much desired and needed by the US. Will this be reverse-tariffed by Canada?
Battle cry for us Canadian🇨🇦 for our Canadian products ….BUY CANADA🇨🇦!
