He was a tremendous actor, but he never had the makings of a varsity athlete
Hahaha
😑
He do got a point doe
That shit is getting so old 😭
Cant believe they put this in Many Saints. Way to take you out of movie and back to the yt comments section
It's so hard to not see James as Tony. That's a great actor.
It can be. Even then James came through
Break out the Gabagool platter in front of Tony and you'll be right back to the Sopranos.
Or great casting
The way he gives that look when he's introduced..........
Thats called typecast
This isn’t James Gandolfini. This is Kevin Finnerty.
😂
We don’t talk like that here
Hey @The Kids Nice ; imagine bumping into you here 😊✌🏼
🤣🤣🤣

Wow loool
🤣🤣🤣
My ears have to adjust to James not talking in an Italian Jersey accent
We all don’t talk like that lol.
Thus isn’t James Gandolfini. This is Kevin Finnerty
Yeah, its just the Jersey accent. Italians are bot the only ones who speak like this in Jersey.
he actually is from Jersey though
@@markm7929 a lot of Ppl do talk like that wym lmao
“They’re all distinguished actors outside of the theater. Here’s a look at their past work.”
Cue Jeff Daniels shitting uncontrollably in Dumb and Dumber
😂 I wanted so bad for them to use a clip from Dumb and Dumber.
Legend
"Just give me the damn number!!!"
That movie wasn't even that funny. Nothing like Ace Ventura level creativity / humor.
@@Weewoo12 They have two totally different approaches. Ace Ventura was simply a better movie.
You'll never get a true sense of how great an actor is until you see how different he is in real life.
Absolutely. The volatile energy he brought to Tony Soprano is something else, and even more phenomenal when you get to recognise the man is a very understated, articulate person off-camera.
I like how they don't show The Sopranos. James Gandolfini was a versatile actor and he deserved to have his other works showed. RIP a legend, respectfully.
Gandolfini is a legend and Tony Soprano is the greatest character in any show, movie, or play! I’m still incredibly bummed he passed away it’s just a damn shame and sad because he seemed like a sincere human being. RIP Jimmy
not better than othello
He was Murdered for Money and Royalties.
@@vibinwpsilocybin1424 I hated that game
Tony found the Lord. ruclips.net/video/etW7QJCI5D8/видео.html
Damn shame because he was nice and because his career would’ve been extremely interesting to see evolve
Hard to believe that 4 years later this wonderful man would be taken from us.
It was that fatty Italian diet. Should've ate a little healthier and exercised a little more, should've got checked out by his doctor a little more. Shame.
@@sj4632 when you're young you can get away with not doing that, but when you're in your 40's to 50's you cannot slack. I'm 21 and don't eat the best but always get checked out. For all we know it may have been a sudden thing and his body could have been just fine.
@@liltrue8420 lol 21 😂
@@pumpkin6429 yeah, as stated.
@@sj4632 Have some respect. How do you know what James ate and how many times he went to a doctor. Were you his wife? James was overweight but compared to a lot of other Americans he wasn’t even that big. He had alcohol and drug abuse issues. It was not just food. Don’t besmirch his name with this crap.
Lets not forget, Jeff Daniels is also a legend.
Jeff daniels is a fantastic actor I agree
Love him
About 1/100 as much as JG
(SO THAT EQUALS A LOT)
@@jamesdavison2927 me too. JD is a decent actor but JG is IT!!!! In my opinion nobody can touch him, especially as Tony Soprano. Definitely a boss. Without JG as Tony I don’t think the show wd have been as successful. Imagine if he had lived what he cd have done. What a loss.
Remember when he took that gigantic diarrhea shit in Dumb and Dumber?! Legend
He was brilliant in The Newsroom
Finally, an interview for James Gandolfini on YT. Thanks.
Yeah he's not known for doing interviews because he said he's not that interesting as a person. But here's a trivia he threaten to fight Harvey weinstein for pressuring him to do one lol.

Used to be on one RUclips about 7/8 years ago, think it was with Actors Studio or something along those lines. A shame it's gone
@@charlesderosas5577 people know this, that's open knowledge. Go home.
Ewan Farrell you can find it elsewhere if you look
i likw hearing his regular voice and HIS personality.
This absolutely. He seems kinda reserved and shy but also very kind and intelligent. Definately not the macho toxic asshole Tony was. All the other actors in the table seem to appreciate him which speaks a lot of his character. I just wish that he would have appreciated and loved himself as much as all those people around him did.
Who here can’t wait for The Many Saints of Newark?
Very much looking forward to it.
Who here is pathetically asking for likes?
I'll be there , just like any other soprano or "Tony" fan, lillyhammer is dope too, too bad it's canceled, so yeah can't wait for this extension of the show
@James Cricket he's going to be BRILLIANT!
@James Cricket Richie Aprile…. is that you? live from the little spot with pine cones by a river.
I would have loved to see James Gandolfini perform a play live. That must have been incredible.
I miss Jimmy Gandolfini I been a fan since true romance...and Sopranos took him through the stratosphere
He great in Get Shorty
You must watch Enough Said.
Jimmy playing Tony is enough for me. Everything else from him is a bonus.
I miss you Jimmy.
I miss this guy so badly. If anyone just simply think he was just some mob actor - he literally brought incredible amounts of memories back to that time and generation growing up where TV was still a huge thing and something to look forward to. Plus, he just was a really cool guy. I remember getting DVD’s of The Sopranos when I was 12 and 13 (2006/2007) and seeing his face was the staple in looking forward to something I could look forward to at that age. They also would play ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ at my middle school dances as kind of a nod to the Sopranos era with our parents that almost all watched it.
Being of Italian on both sides of my family too just made him that much more relatable to see to me
I still remember the day he died in 2013 coming home hearing it on the news
Miss you, James. I hope you are in heaven with all those Italian treats we love around and content right where you are...
baldy****
Great story but tbh that journey song is such ass. Especially for a show like this
I miss James Gandolfini so much. What a brilliant actor! All of these actors are wonderful...wish I could have seen this play.
Watch James' son Michael Gandolfini in his cinematic debut, The Many Saints of Newark, a prequel to the Sopranos. It's coming out in just days.
Whenever I hear Jimmy talk in different movies I get chills because 1. It’s like he’s still here and 2. If you’ve watched the sopranos you’ll understand.. thanks for the vid btw!
Thanks so much for posting this rare gem! I've been looking for a Jeff Daniels interview for a long time.
James had such a beautiful voice and class.
Thanks for the Kevin Finnery interview! 🙏🏼
James just loved the art of acting. He's awesome, I miss him so much. One of my all time favorite actors. Its sad he's gone
There are no more humble actors left. Jim was The last of a dying breed. A gentleman who was caring and showed compassion to anyone he met in life. You will be sorely missed man see you on the other side.
The facial expression of Gandolfini at the beginning is just hilarious. 0:08
That was totally a Tony Soprano look.
Yes totally saw that too.
@@razbigranicu eerily similar to the last scene of the sopranos, when he looks up at Holsteins to sees who’s coming
It's a perfect expression for listening to an imbecile interview yelling for no reason whatsoever.
that's the "...fucking Charlie Rose" look
These 4 actors have fascinating details to add. Great play, great actors, great interview.
This was a great show in its day. Some very useful, educational discussions.
R.I.P., Mr. Gandolfini. You will always be greatly loved and greatly missed.
One of the only famous person/actor who's passing makes me sad. Such a great actor, and so young. Imagine the roles he could have done nowa days
After seeing him in sopranos I can't believe this is the same actor!!
Thanks for the upload,I've noticed Gandolfini doesnt have many interviews
He was a reclusive guy. It makes him all the more interesting.
He did a full interview on “inside the actors studio” and it used to be on RUclips but it’s been gone for quite some time. I can’t find it.
It’s on Vimeo. Just type it James Gandolfini interview. I just watched it recently!
@@michaelfleming8490 he also did one on 60 minutes but only clips are on RUclips. I can’t find the full version anywhere.
He was too (genuinely) modest to do interviews and he refused to go on talk shows bc he was afraid that he wasn’t charismatic enough to pull it off an enormously stark contrast to the character of Tony Soprano further proof that he really stepped out of his skin for the role
Oh how far the world has come to hearing ppl's convo's. It sucked n it still does.... Amazing...now it's all u hear.
Jeff Daniels is great in comedy and drama.
Fantastic.
Glad to have seen your work James.....RIP
Great actors & their creative work endures!!
Jesus, I would give away my liver to watch this cast. Daniels and Gandolfini in particular, have soft spot for both of them.
Rip Kevin finnerty, you will forever be missed ❤️
THANK YOU!!!
LEGEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! James Gandolfini is a star who's will never fade
James gandolfini deserves to be mentioned amongst the greats the mans portrayal of Tony saprono & his character arc will be talk abt for years to come 👍☝🙌
Saprono? And who might that be?
He’s still my favorite actor. Such an amazing talent, and a class act. Will forever live on though! Will also forever be missed and loved. Thank you James - Tony. ❤
I'd do anything to see that play...but it's never gonna fuckin happen.
It’s weird hearing him talking without his Italian accent.
Such a good actor. Really wish he was still alive
I can't unsee Ton Soprano. That role was made for James Gandolfini. RIP James Gandolfini.
James you were the best mob boss on the screen . I totally enjoyed your performance
Brilliant actor and generous man. RIP.
❤️ R.I.P James
RIP James Gandolfini I regret not getting to know more about you or your work in The Sopranos when I was 14 or 15, the only time i saw you was in the Incredible Burt Wonderstone, without Tony Soprano. Don Draper, Vic Mackey, Jack Bauer, Nucky Thompson, Nancy Botwin, Dexter Morgan, Jax Teller, Omar Little and especially Walter White never would have existed
Happy 60th birthday James Gandolfini!!!
James Gandolfini was a hell of an actor
Damn, I sure do miss James Gandolfini.
James hates interview's he hasn't done many he was so great and he was anti Hollywood rip
I think revealing the details, the nuts n bolts to us...enriches our appreciation of their craft! It's like watching Elton John's fingers as he performs "Bennie n the Jets"...ur still amazed at what comes out of the piano! I would have loved to seen this live.
Man I miss James Gandolfini...hope his boy turns out to be just as good of an actor as his old man was.
Many Saints of Newark was meh but his son killed the role as young Tony S.Would love to see more of him in that role.
Cannot tell you how happy I am to have seen this cast/ play in real time....#LuckyMe
The views for this better skyrocket after the release of the many saints of Newark
James Gandolfini, Jeff Daniels, Hope Davis, and AND Marcia Gay Harden? My god what a panel.
Greatest TV panel ever. 🔥
I still can't believe he's gone. RIP.
Gosh he was such a great actor. Smart and brilliant
Everyone suffered a loss when James left us RIP J.G.
Mystic River is one of the best movies of all time. Sean Penn was incredible in that film… “is my daughter in there?!”
My views of vigilante justice changed dramatically because of that amazing movie
@@jamesdavison2927 in the book, Penns character essentially becomes the new mob boss in the area after he kills his friend
It was pretty obvious that he was much more than Tony Soprano. He really was a powerhouse actor
I loved Marcia Gay Harden in Mystic River
@Roxanne Mua yes she's a great actress!
nailed the accent
This interview was on my 14th birthday 🎉
I love Jeff daniels but you can see the difference in humility between him and James, Jeff wants to show how skillful actors are with their craft, James on the other hand thinks that’s not becoming, or is too cocky I don’t know how to say it. He’s very humble and doesn’t want the spotlight on him. Very unique for an actor I think. He seems like just a regular working guy.
Grande, siempre estaras en mi memoria gandolfini
Loved James since True Romance. I remember thinking how scary he was. He became his characters. A soul that is definitely missed.
James. May his soul rest in peace. Every time I hear him not acting as Tony, all I can hear is Kevin Finnerly.
the "tony" award nominations
Hard to believe this is from 2009
Very interesting insights
This play is quite interesting. It seems like James wanted to give back to the audience and worked well with his co workers
All hail GOATdalfini
The movie was great. I would have loved to see this.
To see these great actors at the same table with Charlie Rose fully clothed is Hollywood history
Best plays I've seen have been either no intermission or just one. 90 minute plays rock!
in this video we see Tony Soprano portraying James Gandolfini
I miss him so much
RIP James .. he died young.
People will always see him as Tony, but he was in a ton of movies he was a great actor period .
Rest in Peace James.
James is the greatest talent in the room and says the least. Classic introvert
He never had the making of varsity athlete ! Rip Jim❤️
I would have loved to watch this onstage
Miss him man
It’s so trippy hearing him without his Jersey accent
He broke down what laughter is in the beginning. In case we weren't sure. "You know that feeling you get in your belly like hiccups".
One cool note- if an actor/co worker was an actual friend of Jimmy- they called him Jimmy- Charlie Rose calls him Jimmy❤️❤️❤️
Sign of a Great actor: you never knew their natural speaking voice would be unrecognizable.
Tony Sirico doesn't sound anything like Paulie Walnuts.
I miss you James Gandolfini!!!!✌
Nice interview from Tony "The Sopranos" Soprano
i know this is the first comment here and all but the guy seems like he doesnt have the makings of a varsity athlete
Athlete??
@@allisonrogers1409 It's a sopranos joke.
Varsity* Athlete
What the fuck Uncle Jun?
But he can take out The Vipers easy peasy
Sad seeing him it’s crazy he died so young. Obviously not expected he wasn’t in very good shape but still died to young.
Why did god have to take this man from us so early in his life , gone too early ❤️
I like those other 3 actors but there is only one actor here i want to listen to
Great man
Didn't realize until now that they are waaay more articulate on stage :o
UM is the full recording of this play anywhere??
A great varsity athlete
