    Bro the explanation of what happened with that trade of Hayward was so lacking... Poku wasn't even part of that trade. Hornets received Davis Bertans, Vasilije Micic and Tre Mann 2 round picks and cash. Thunder later waived Poku and the Hornets picked him up.
    I do agree Castle or Holland are the picks. Buzelis would be my one outlier, if you want Brandon full time at the 2. Defense and secondary playmaking, Hornets were 29th in perimeter D.

    Lamelo can play defense if he wants to, but i think he exert so much energy and efforts on offense thats why we dont see him clamp people one on one. Just like luka, haliburton. Ive never seen player who does 80-90% of their offene like them with a kawhi leonard type of defense tbh. Thats why castle is the best fit for them

      😂😂 nahh melo can't play defense... yet... he never got a chance to develop it because he always injured

    I don’t think these people know too much about the hornets. The one guy listed our rookies and said they’d be good players. Amari Bailey was buns this year.

    If U didn’t see what Buzelis was doin to Brandon Miller All Star weekend U don’t know what u missed! Buzelis is the right pick at 6 and insurance in case Bridges leaves and if he stays Buzelis can play the 4 esp at 6’10 and Williams as the clean up man. The ability to switch on D and have significant height advantages is luring to me

    If we are choosing for a fit, stephon Castle is the absolute perfect fit in between melo and miller. The question is do the hornets truly want to go big, and that means melo at the 1, miller at the 2, and then drafting a defensive wing at the 3. Miller moves like a slim guard on offense and defense, and has very good control when given ball handling duties. Yall boys hit the nail on the head though, the 1st goal should be to sign or trade or draft for health, screw fit or best player, we need bodies who can play 75+ games a season.
    If we cant get clingan or castle at 6, we should trade our pick for 1st round next season and a healthy vet or wing. Thats not likely to happen.
    What is likely is we draft clingan, then sign lonnie walker for 6.1m 2years, and haywood highsmith for 5.9m 2 years. That instantly makes us a play off contending team.
    Another option we draft Castle, then sign cam reddish, bol bol, resign miles bridges.
    Any other use of the draft pick at 6 puts us back into defensive liabilities. We are likely to resign miles bridges anyways. so we need to fill the spots on defense. sg/sf target haywood highsmith, lonnie walker, cam reddish. Back up value pieces that could grow into special weapons bol bol, cam reddish, Jaxson hayes.
    do not sign anyone for more than 3 years. draft and trade for defense and healthy young legs.

    Ron Holland is a good fit for Hornests. He is rugged, strong and defensive-minded shooter.

      @@averiskonsept doubt that there's a prospect of his caliber in this draft. Brandon Miller would be unquestionably the number one pick in this draft.

    • @averiskonsept
      @averiskonsept 2 месяца назад

      @@norrinradd542 No doubt. But someone in this draft will be that good, unexpectedly. Don't get me wrong; I wanted Brandon before the Hornets even had the 2nd pick, I knew he was going to be lethal. Now, I want Ron Holland if Stephon Castle is off the board.

    • @norrinradd542
      @norrinradd542 2 месяца назад

      @@averiskonsept maybe someone could unexpectedly in an extra sophomore year, but I highly doubt we get a Brandon Miller this year. Stephon Castle could be a good impact, he's a few years from getting to some sort of star though. Brandon Miller is a low end star already imo. Risacher isn't Brandon Miller, neither is any Ignite player... good luck with that.

    Can we draft a better training staff?

    I’m coming around to Reed Sheppard. Ball is still point offensively but let Reed guard opponents point. Hide Ball in less usage wings players to exert less energy on defense. Reed shoots well, can play off ball, provide secondary ball handling and insurance in case Ball is injured or needs rest. Easier to find role playing wing defender or big depth in 2nd round. Liking the youth movement.

    They need a 4. Bridges is not a 4 he is a 3. They already have a ton of wing players so drafting one is stupid because who spot he taken?
    Matas or salaun are my top prospects.
    Castle doesn't even want to play in Charlotte so after rookie deal he out.
    Sign bridges, cut bertans, 25 mill gtfoh. Draft a 4 and we have a complete starting 5 with backups in just about every position with Richards, Williams, Martin and micic.

    I swear I wish the ppl who try to cover the Hornets learn more about the team! To say draft WING is a stupid take bc who spot is this WING supposed to takeover? There’s not a player in the draft that can play better D than Cody Martin. They also have Nick Smith Jr, Tre Mann, Micic and Curry. All these guys are back ups. I’m sure Bridges will be back long term and he’s the 3 like it or not he’s not the 4… There’s only 1 spot available and that’s the PF. Hornets problems was solely health. Can’t expect good D when the starters aren’t there to play. Find Mark Williams a running mate at the 4 with some legit length, size, handles and passing abilities and we are ready to rock!
    Ball
    Miller
    Bridges
    ?
    Williams… that’s the lineup! If u say otherwise u don’t know the team and ur just making videos with no context

    Hornets are one of the most cursed franchises in sports. You really dropped all the way down from #3 to #6. The NBA draft lottery is garbage, and below the top two picks this year is all "meh." Hopefully some other team drafts Stephon Castle before #6 so the Hornets aren't foolish enough to do it. STOP DRAFTING WING PLAYERS WHO ARE NOT ALREADY REGARDED AS GOOD SHOOTERS. That should rule out Castle. They also have a 6'7 PG in Ball and a 6'9 SG/SF in Brandon Miller. They don't need to draft anyone shorter than 6'7 if they go with another wing, which rules out Sheppard and Dillingham for me. If they draft Topic, I will be done with them for good, I don't care how tall he is. Falling that far ensures the franchise will stay exactly what's it's always been since anyone they draft will be redundant to what they usually have. It was Sarr and Risacher or bust for me, and the silly NBA Draft Lottery ensured it was "bust."

    Fk a playoff leap we need a rebuilding leap. We have an idea of the future but haven’t seen enough of the same 5-8 guys who are able to compete and impress. Need a deep cheap roster. Smartly built we have to take it slow no win now typeshit
