    Andrea was so concerned with proving herself useful she made a quick, stupid decision to shoot first without analyzing the situation. I love when Rick hides the ears from Herschel!...this guy doesn't need to see this unhinged version of Daryl after hes already considering kicking us out. I LOVE season 2! It's when I started watching the show live every week and I hold so much Nostalgia for it

    Daryl was still letting Merle manipulate him. Some people keep their abusers in their head and follow their rules and way of being long after they're gone because they don't have real independence. Daryl was physically independent, but he was very mentally dependent on other people until after he built himself back up after being held captive.
    This was in reference to you mentioning Daryl and Rick not being brothers yet, Daryl needed his brother gone to realize how little of a brother he was.

    I had totally forgot about this scene! Thanks for the reminder and scene breakdown. Andrea later of course displays more poor judgment with the Governor!

    Farm and the prison the road to terminus, and the trip to Virginia, all are premium content. Excellent acting and writing.

    Daryl was shot out on meth during this time. Plus whatever he had in his bag of tricks. I remember jumping up and yelling at the TV many times and for real being on the edge of my seat.
    A few times I wanted to throw my TV out in the yard. That kind of stuff went away after season 6. Y'all know why. From there on out I had my face in my hands a lot.

    Andrea panicked because she was not in danger with the distance and being on top of the camper. She could have warned the group.

      she did say something first in the complete scene - that is why Rick and the rest ran out there - Rick told her not to shoot and when Shane and TDog said they could handle it Rick said "Hershel said he would handle walkers" (because Rick knew how Hershel felt about the walkers) - but she shot anyways

    Oh don’t remind me of ears! LOL! I still don’t understand that. I just try to forget it. I think real interesting thing about this episode is Daryl’s interpretation of Merle in his mind. At this point we haven’t seen Daryl & Merle interact so we
    really don’t know much except that he cares about him. It really shows how Merle’s treatment of Daryl through Daryl’s thoughts & how it effects him. I can’t help but laugh when he calls him Darlena. The scene later on when Carol brings him food is great too because she is 1st person who reaches out to Daryl and tells him he has worth and has earned his place in group. Norman said that his reaction of thinking Carol was going to hurt him when she kisses him on cheek was not scripted. Norman just did it & then writers gave him an abusive past. I thought that was really cool. I don’t know how they got Norman on horse because he has said many times that he is afraid of horses. He say he doesn’t like riding something that has mind of its own.

    I thought it was so funny when Andrea was telling Dale she was sorry for shooting Daryl, and Dale says: "we've all wanted to shoot Daryl" haha

    In a weird way Rick and the group ending up on the farm was the best thing to ever happen to Hershel and his family. Well, some of his family seeing as most of them met a grisly end there. But the ones that didn’t stepped up and became a valued member of the group. And then Beth lol. Well I mean, I guess if you really wanna credit Beth for something you can say she’s part responsible for the maturity of Daryl. When you think about, for example, Negan not being able to break Daryl or Daryl just never backing down to Negan in the first place, you can credit her for that🤷‍♂️But, with Randall and that group. Not only did they know about the farm but from the sounds of it, seemed like they were planning on attacking the place but the groups arrival might’ve deterred any actions, at least for the moment. Judging from that bar scene, it sounded like they had eyes on the place. I think they could’ve just simply snuck onto the farm while they slept and did what they wanted had Otis not shot Carl. Also with Otis doing daily runs like petnapping walkers for the barn, it’d have been easy to get the jump on him. I think I remember Randall telling Shane before his death that there were quite a few of them stationed not that far away as well, so it sounded like they had the numbers (a good reason a part of me thinks why Shane didn’t just go and take care of Randall and his friends in the first place but ultimately decided to go with getting rid of Rick instead). Hell, they probably heard Shane’s gunshot, went to go see what was going on and by the time they got there the place was overrun and burning to the ground. Probably got pissed off thinking someone beat them to the punch so a big LOL at them haha. Kinda makes me think, they had to hear them clearing out the barn that day, right? A lot of gunshots, a lot of noise. Also judging by some of the things Randall tells Daryl, they wouldn’t have been very kind to the women on that farm either so big yikes because I love Maggie.

      @TWDExplained  8 дней назад +2

      Randall's group probably was not specifically after the farm - but could have saw Otis and followed him or heard some gunshots as you say. So if not their group, another would eventually end up there I bet. - and yeah, Randall's group would not have treated the girls very well at all.

    I loved and hated this scene. Love seeing everyone work to keep the ears hidden and calm Daryl down a little. And hate how foolish Andrea was here. Walker or not the shot was a waste of ammo and could have drawn a herd of walkers if they were in ear shot all so she could see if she was tough 💢😡

    They had locked his brother on the roof, surprised he didn't try tracking Merl, instead of going with Rick ...
    Daryl and Merl at the Governors would have been bad.

      The thing that really got me was when Daryl went off in woods with Merle in third season and you find out that they were going to rob group. That conversation reveals so much about how it was before and how Daryl has changed with influence of group. Great stuff!

    It’s used to be about zombies, then it turned into a gay soap opera. The farm was good times. Good characters.
