This would be a great Tales from the walking dead episode. I hope they do Talles again, so much potential and could be kind of low budget because they wouldnt need any top tier actors like danai or andrew or norman.
All signs point to Paris being ground zero. It would be cool to see some flashbacks in Daryl Dixon if so. Maybe Genet is going to play a big part in the "endgame" we've all theoried about. If she did weaponize the Walkers and release them in America it could end with our group fighting walkers like the beginning bringing it full circle. Maybe even coming up with a plan to destroy all the heards out there in the process. Think about that tales episode from the future too. Just a theory....

I still would like to know what happened to every major city throughout the country. Manhattan, which was the epicenter at the current time before the collapse. Chicago, we heard that it was so bad that a nuclear bomb was about to be engaged to eliminate the threat. I mean, it should have its own season of certain cities before/during/post outbreak of the Wildfire Virus. Season 1 should focus on one city, which can be anywhere in the nation, no main character, just a random individual seeing their POV of the unfolding chaos, leaving the audience relate to the unknown individual, whether if it's a politician, first responder, blue/white collar worker, or just a random homeless off the street. They should heavily focus more on news stations reporting on the unknown and just leave it like that. This goes with the EAS occupation being on every phone/radio posting warnings of the unknown infection.

Frank Derebaunt wanted to do something similar to this idea. Season 2 episode 1 was supposed to focus around the tank soldier (the one Rick killed when he crawled inside the tank) play by Sam Whitwer. It would have been an episode showcasing the collapse of Atlanta and the fall of the military. Definitely a cool premise but unfortunately frank was fired and his ideas scraped.
@@tstreett01 yeah season one atlanta scenes were some of my favourite in the whole show for half the sereis it feels like we were just sitting out in the woods and no huge city battles or anything I get the budget but the city scenes really popped

I wish the producers of the TWD universe had used the anthology to write stories that led to mass creation of the walkers outbreak. I think that would’ve been a better use of story telling.

Just a side fact but might be interesting. Did you know the end credits song in Season 1/ Episode 1 is called “Space Junk” by Wang Chung. Of all the songs in the world, that’s an interesting choice don’t you think? It could be a hint to where Kirkman and Darabont were going with the show. A small clue but it might support your theory.
Yep - and it's a really cool tune (also played in his last episode). It actually fit the narrative as far as Rick stumbling through the apocalypse or "Space Junk" - and also could surely be an easter egg for how it started. Thanks for watching!!

Nope. That's not what Dave Erickson and Kirkman intended for FEAR, it's just what AMC went with to get everyone watching. Reading the press kits and listening to pre-premiere interviews, it goes into the whole, "watching how a dysfunctional family survives and, eventually, how a normal person (in this case Madison) can become shaped into a villain like character by the world around them." AMC lied with their promo work, and the show suffered for it.

They should make the show and its a prequel to every walking dead its called "wildfire" its about a virus origin from the ice caps melting releases a disease that maked people sick but the scientist made it better but worse
The only thing that bother me with this theory is that it doesnt explain why infected blood/bites kills them. We've seen amputation work to stop its spread and human bites are dangerous but we have antibiotics to combat infections. There has to be a better theory, although this is a really interesting plot for a story, just doesnt fit with TWDU

Does anyone still buy into the theory that Breaking Bad is in the same Universe as TWD? My theory is that Walt's Blue Sky drug was getting cut and "copied" by less talented cooks and that played a part in the outbreak.

Love this video, nice job James! I used to always think that I didn't want an explanation for the virus origin but as the universe has expanded, I could definitely get behind this kind of idea. Coverupts & convenient deaths so that the general public wasn't aware of what was coming resulting in the very worst outcome. I firmly believe that there is other life out there so it's not such a reach to think about some kind of alien spores or DNA entering the Earth's atmosphere this way and because of it's totally different genetic makeup, causing havoc to people. I guess they'd need to explain why it seems to only affect people and not any other species though but yeh, this is way better than a supernatural type explanation - that would just be cheap and too lazy.
Well we can easily add in something that a second or third generation could find out....think of it as another entire series - after Rick Grimes discovers old server info that spores from a meteorite were the root starting cause and solar flares triggered them......Much later Judith Grimes finds out exactly why it infected only humans and not animals.... The Zoo Hypothesis. A much more advanced race of beings infected Earth with life, to watch it evolve - like a zoo. They decided to inject a zombie virus that infected humans only - to watch how they adapted and survived.

They could even explore this further as to why this might be a targeted attacked by a more advanced alien world in that humans are the smartest species but also the dumbest i terms of decision making which has lead to so many wars, genocides...etc - we're our own worst enemy. So like a plan to rid the Earth of the people who make it so bad and start fresh. That said, that sounds like the ultimate genocide leaving the smarter Aliens to question if they really are any better than us after all. I really hope that we get to explore more about what went on in France (and possibly elsewhere in the world) as the Daryl Dixon season showed us a sort of transitional style government weaponising the Walkers. We haven't really seen that anywhere else in this universe (the Whisperers don't really count here as they were more about "blending in"). This is why the Daryl Dixon spin-off is my favourite. For sure, a lot of the excitement for me is seeing what happened in Europe in a city that I know well and I spent a year living not so far from metro St. Georges where the iconic episode two opening starts. What I wouldn't like is for this universe to try and go Matrix style and try to explain it as this is just the point of view of certain people who are sleeping.

They could go down a whole rabbit hole with this in that it was a planned "reset" and only the fittest and best would survive but as we've seen and as they will have observed, that's not always the case. Ok, this probably does sound crazy but it's nothing that this universe couldn't accommodate although I think it should be done as a spin off in about 10 years time or so (50+ in TWD timeline). I was talking with my friends yesterday evening and we NEED a zombie movie at least in Prague - with the narrow, winding streets an outbreak would destroy everything way faster than Paris and you'd have this cool backdrop of the gothic architecture. What I've learnt from these spin-offs is to be less cynical - some stuff I'm going to like and other stuff I'm not and that's really because my expectation level always increases.

Since beginning of watching TWD I have wondered & wanted a reason for all this but realized that we may never get it….this could be a very plausible answer if they ever decide to go there.
The Last of Us had fungi spores that evolved and adapted to human body temperatures because of global warming - Season 2 of that should be coming 2025!
Zombie shows no matter what will get stale and boring as soon as the people begin to settle down in place, the early days are the best. When people are on the move trying to survive not live. What they should be doing is what American Horror Story does, each season a new story. Could easily just make show about about the initial outbreak, how different people around the country or world react and adapt to it. Like The Wire had different perspectives of the drug game, show different perspectives of civilization taking a zombie to the neck. First responders and law enforcement, government and military, media, doctors, civil engineers, utilities. What happens when the system starts to buckle as people stop maintaining it, stop showing up for work, show the dominos falling. With later seasons things could move further up the timeline, our various groups don't join up but they come across one another as things happen. There's no one "every man," it's everyone dealing with the suck. Imagine a season of Walking Dead where the outbreak hits Woodbury and the people against it all, hold it together. Movies should be like this, for superhero flicks skip the origin story. A flashback will do. For zombie entertainment stick as close to the outbreak, collapse, and figuring it out as possible. That's where it's good. After that it becomes another show with the typical people problems of power, corruption, love or lust. It gets boring to survive the zombie apocalypse and eventually it's the same pre-apocalypse people bullshit. That doesn't mean the shows timeline can't progress either. Can start off a few years into it, with a new group but a few familiar faces from past seasons. As this season goes on we learn what happened to some of the other groups we've gotten to know. Not everyone made it or someone was kicked out for being nuts or evil. By the end, this new group we started with maybe no one makes it. I say treat it like evolution, the people surviving the apocalypse aren't the ones who're going to be making a life for themselves. That's for the next generation way down the line. It's do or die for now.
This is the same as what I’ve had in mind as the cause of the outbreak. The only difference is I would bring the spores arrival forward to about February 2010 or 180 days before wildfire went live. That way scientists can detect the presence of the virus without being too concerned until it goes live suddenly in August. I would make the trigger unknown but subsequently discovered by either civic republic or the sixth republic of France as being radiation from the sun with the northern hemisphere in summertime & with 90% of the population being initially worse affected. The trigger needs to be so sudden that society is shocked & overwhelmed before it can recover. Only pockets of civilisation survive to implement emergency lockdowns & no real prevention program is in place because the virus is ‘benign’ & not taken seriously enough before the trigger. That’s may take on what makes it better. Then the US government panics & launches operation Cobalt as they bumble to contain it & don’t understand that killing people is just creating more hosts to activate the virus. By then it’s too late & most of the world has fallen.
TWD is it's own thing - but I have written a script or two - I started a book of horror short stories a couple years ago - need to get that finished. I plan to give away digital copies but, if any demand is there, I can offer hard copies.
Well the walking dead is connected to the invincible multiverse. As we know Omni man’s purpose was to make sure nobody rebels when viltrum takes over. What if Nolan failed his mission and was honest with the viltrum and as a result they sent space spoors to destroy everyone on the planet so that by the time everyone is a zombie on earth. The viltrumites would easily destroy any Twd zombie in their path. I’m convinced that Robert kirkman is trying to cook with his multiverse and that people just don’t want invincible and twd to be connected. Even tho to me it would make perfect sense that they would send twd wildfire virus so they can take over the planet
See here's the thing I find unacceptable about writing and just downright reject. The concept of a writer having their content be so large but yet refusing to answer crucial questions like that. To me, once they refuse and someone else comes up with something (or by extension when kirkman said space spores), thats it, it becomes definitive regardless of their attempted retcon. When you have writers that just downright refuse to write something definitive but also dismiss other theories, that is not acceptable in the slightest. It's the same scenario for things like half life 3, valve will never finish the story and although the LITERAL SOLE WRITER finished it in his own time, its not considered canon bc "valve didn't specifically say it was" even tho it is definitively regardless of what anyone says, even he himself. But for TWD, in comics, its definitively space spores regardless of how you wanna argue that, and for the show, it was an engineered virus. We are just so far past the point of acceptability, so considering he refuses to come up with anything, its space spores. If he doesn't like that, he can write something better, but in the mean time, thats what it is.

Yeah that Tales episode 'in the future' throws a loop in some things - kinda seems a lot of theories of an endgame....never will happen.

A much more advanced race of beings infected Earth with life, to watch it evolve - like a zoo. They decided to inject a zombie virus that infected humans only - to watch how they adapted and survived.
@@TWDExplained Now thst would be FIRE with the zoo hypothesis! They could even explore this further as to why this might be a targeted attacked by a more advanced alien world in that humans are the smartest species but also the dumbest i terms of decision making which has lead to so many wars, genocides...etc - we're our own worst enemy. So like a plan to rid the Earth of the people who make it so bad and start fresh. That said, that sounds like the ultimate genocide leaving the smarter Aliens to question if they really are any better than us after all.
I really hope that we get to explore more about what went on in France (and possibly elsewhere in the world) as the Daryl Dixon season showed us a sort of transitional style government weaponising the Walkers. We haven't really seen that anywhere else in this universe (the Whisperers don't really count here as they were more about "blending in"). This is why the Daryl Dixon spin-off is my favourite. For sure, a lot of the excitement for me is seeing what happened in Europe in a city that I know well and I spent a year living not so far from metro St. Georges where the iconic episode two opening starts.
What I wouldn't like is for this universe to try and go Matrix style and try to explain it as this is just the point of view of certain people who are sleeping.
The aliens just need to study me - dumb decisions, my own worst enemy haha

@@TWDExplained Haha, no you're ok - your youtube videos are travelling into deep space right now so they'd want to keep you :). As for me, I'm kinda screwed lol. They could go down a whole rabbit hole with this in that it was a planned "reset" and only the fittest and best would survive but as we've seen and as they will have observed, that's not always the case.
Ok, this probably does sound crazy but it's nothing that this universe couldn't accommodate although I think it should be done as a spin off in about 10 years time or so (50+ in TWD timeline). I was talking with my friends yesterday evening and we NEED a zombie movie at least in Prague - with the narrow, winding streets an outbreak would destroy everything way faster than Paris and you'd have this cool backdrop of the gothic architecture.
What I've learnt from these spin-offs is to be less cynical - some stuff I'm going to like and other stuff I'm not and that's really because my expectation level always increases.

Sounds interesting! Also sounds very similar to Last of Us to me . I remember something about spores causing infection. I could be wrong. It’s been awhile since I have watched it. Since beginning of watching TWD I have wondered & wanted a reason for all this but realized that we may never get it….this could be a very plausible answer if they ever decide to go there.
The Last of Us had fungi spores that evolved and adapted to human body temperatures because of global warming - Season 2 of that should be coming 2025!

Zombie shows no matter what will get stale and boring as soon as the people begin to settle down in place, the early days are the best. When people are on the move trying to survive not live. What they should be doing is what American Horror Story does, each season a new story. Could easily just make show about about the initial outbreak, how different people around the country or world react and adapt to it. Like The Wire had different perspectives of the drug game, show different perspectives of civilization taking a zombie to the neck. First responders and law enforcement, government and military, media, doctors, civil engineers, utilities. What happens when the system starts to buckle as people stop maintaining it, stop showing up for work, show the dominos falling. With later seasons things could move further up the timeline, our various groups don't join up but they come across one another as things happen. There's no one "every man," it's everyone dealing with the suck. Imagine a season of Walking Dead where the outbreak hits Woodbury and the people against it all, hold it together.
Movies should be like this, for superhero flicks skip the origin story. A flashback will do. For zombie entertainment stick as close to the outbreak, collapse, and figuring it out as possible. That's where it's good. After that it becomes another show with the typical people problems of power, corruption, love or lust. It gets boring to survive the zombie apocalypse and eventually it's the same pre-apocalypse people bullshit. That doesn't mean the shows timeline can't progress either. Can start off a few years into it, with a new group but a few familiar faces from past seasons. As this season goes on we learn what happened to some of the other groups we've gotten to know. Not everyone made it or someone was kicked out for being nuts or evil. By the end, this new group we started with maybe no one makes it. I say treat it like evolution, the people surviving the apocalypse aren't the ones who're going to be making a life for themselves. That's for the next generation way down the line. It's do or die for now.
I like the beginning stories also - they have created "Tales of TWD" - they could do some of the stories there.

This is the same as what I’ve had in mind as the cause of the outbreak. The only difference is I would bring the spores arrival forward to about February 2010 or 180 days before wildfire went live. That way scientists can detect the presence of the virus without being too concerned until it goes live suddenly in August. I would make the trigger unknown but subsequently discovered by either civic republic or the sixth republic of France as being radiation from the sun with the northern hemisphere in summertime & with 90% of the population being initially worse affected.
The trigger needs to be so sudden that society is shocked & overwhelmed before it can recover. Only pockets of civilisation survive to implement emergency lockdowns & no real prevention program is in place because the virus is ‘benign’ & not taken seriously enough before the trigger.
That’s may take on what makes it better. Then the US government panics & launches operation Cobalt as they bumble to contain it & don’t understand that killing people is just creating more hosts to activate the virus. By then it’s too late & most of the world has fallen.

Well the walking dead is connected to the invincible multiverse. As we know Omni man’s purpose was to make sure nobody rebels when viltrum takes over. What if Nolan failed his mission and was honest with the viltrum and as a result they sent space spoors to destroy everyone on the planet so that by the time everyone is a zombie on earth. The viltrumites would easily destroy any Twd zombie in their path. I’m convinced that Robert kirkman is trying to cook with his multiverse and that people just don’t want invincible and twd to be connected. Even tho to me it would make perfect sense that they would send twd wildfire virus so they can take over the planet
See here's the thing I find unacceptable about writing and just downright reject. The concept of a writer having their content be so large but yet refusing to answer crucial questions like that. To me, once they refuse and someone else comes up with something (or by extension when kirkman said space spores), thats it, it becomes definitive regardless of their attempted retcon. When you have writers that just downright refuse to write something definitive but also dismiss other theories, that is not acceptable in the slightest. It's the same scenario for things like half life 3, valve will never finish the story and although the LITERAL SOLE WRITER finished it in his own time, its not considered canon bc "valve didn't specifically say it was" even tho it is definitively regardless of what anyone says, even he himself. But for TWD, in comics, its definitively space spores regardless of how you wanna argue that, and for the show, it was an engineered virus. We are just so far past the point of acceptability, so considering he refuses to come up with anything, its space spores. If he doesn't like that, he can write something better, but in the mean time, thats what it is.
