I am enjoying your channel. The honest approach you take in filming these videos is refreshing to me. I have been a working professional and a non working professional photographer more then half of my life and capturing everyday moments, ordinary or extraordinary, it doesn’t matter. The subject doesn’t matter as long as it moves me in some way. The thing is, I don’t really know why I love to do what I do, but it’s something that I need to do as often as I can. Cheers, Rob
2DogAle I do appreciate your comments and I'm glad to hear there are others who feel the same as I do. Can't put a finger on it, but I have a camera on me to photograph what grabs me. Thank you.
What a great video you have produced! Great photographs, too. I, too, am a Grumpy Old Photographer. I will be 75 in July. I started taking photographs back in 1958-1959. I shoot both film and digital. If I could start over, I would organize some type of indexing system so I could find photographs easier when I am looking for them. I spend too much time hunting and that takes away from my time to shoot. Again, I think your video was really really good!
I appreciate your comment, thank you so much. Cataloging photographs is a challenge. Especially when photographing both film and digitals. All my film negatives in a hard plastic three ring binder with contact sheets and digitals on the computer and back up external hard drive. But I will say this, my favorite pictures I print and stow them in a portfolio album. After all of this, if I look for a picture, I just hope I can find it. Thanks again.
My kids will be disappointed. They think I am the grumpy photographer. That's ok... they will get over it. I have not decided to shoot only B&W in '24, but I do intend to use it often. Some will be digital, but most will be film. This will be a year of experimenting.
Thank you for the comment. Training for grumpy is an ongoing process. Great thing is, we don't have to be perfect at it. It's great you'll be experimenting with photographing in B&W especially film. I love it. Good luck and have fun!
From one grumpy 'ole photographer to another {I'm 69} who's been taking and making photogrraphs since the mid 60's keep following your dream,
Appreciate it. thank you so much.
We're on the same track. I started about'60...I am almost 74. I am slowly trying to ramp up my photography again.
Slow but sure.

I used to take photographs for my dad, then he passed away and I quit. I came back to photography for a woman.
Thank you for the comment.
For years I took most of my pictures for my wife. She passed away 6/1/21. I just about stopped. Its starting to pick back up... some.
