- In this episode, I talk about Werra I camera manufactured in what was once East Germany during the cold war. It is, in my opinion, a beautiful, simplistic, minimalist, art deco camera out there and a pleasure to photograph with.
I hope you enjoy.

I literally found one in my country a few days ago and had to have it. Thank you for making a video on it!
Thank you for the comment. I know you'll have fun photographing with it.
Love seeing these oldie but goodie cameras, Chuck. I am currently learning to use my Voigtlander Vito II, a small quirky mechanical camera also. Look forward to more of your videos.
Thank you so much. Appreciate your comment. And I hope you have fun learning and photographing with your Voigtlander.
Really enjoyed your video. I purchased a Werra 1 a couple weeks ago and have been shooting it off and on. Can't wait to see how my results turned out. You really helped me understand how to take the film out. Didn't know that one had to keep the button down while turning the rewind knob so that was great to know...thank you!
Appreciate the comment, thank you so much! You'll have to let me know how the roll turns out when you have it developed.
A quirky little camera with a teeny weeny view finder. Was it hard to compose a shot? Btw you go to work really early in the morning. I hope you get off just as early in the afternoon.
It is a bit of a challenge with the viewfinder. For me, more of a visual reference pointing it in the right direction and working with a 50mm lens. I'm usually off by mid-afternoon and heading home.
My friend has one of these abd loves it. His in Olive Green. Whatvcolor is your copy?
Thanks for sharing. Mine is Olive Green as well.
