The tutorial is a far reach, you want $100 per month for some random tutorials but there’s no showcase of what you’ll teach. The description pretty clearly states that no significant course material will be provided. You’re just gonna show how to click some buttons and use some cheap point cloud? That’s the impression the description gives… for $100 we should have an entire sample project not some mystery videos locked behind a paywall.
To clearify, there are source materials provided for participants to start their creative journey. I believe each one of them have their own destinations and they're not supposed to copy my path rather than find their own. They may apply what they learnt to make their own artworks and exhibit in galleries; or they can also apply in their commercial projects for TVC or music videos. The workshop is like behind-of-scenes of the art series called "Generated Memories", the value is in the art and craft. In “Generated Memories” series, Li transforms local residents’ memories of public spaces into an immersive art experience utilizing state-of-art technologies like LiDAR scanning, point-cloud and real-time 3D rendering. So, people can enter this inner universe which is full of particles of memories and explore their relationships with time and space. Such new experience depicts a future in which all human beings are interconnected. While I totally understand that art can be subjective, you can always support other artists who you feel connected with : )
@@gerrylivisual Thanks for responding… I think the description of the course could benefit with some details and clarity on what exactly people should expect. Supporting artists is one thing, but you shouldn’t ask someone looking for education to pay you an extra premium for support. I’m not accusing you of anything, I’m just saying the course details are quite vague and misleading at this point; you should improve it. Better details, expectations, outcomes and showcase of exactly what people are paying for… that’s a more honest approach.
