Watching this on a meebook m6, I don't really care about the refresh rate. The ability to watch videos with some clarity, and not hurting my eyes is game changing

This new tech is so exciting! It's about time someone challenged the very slow progress of E-ink technology! Imagine a new Kindle or Kobo or Boox with this new tech! 🎉

I would say a matt display surface is a must for a reflective display.
The colour technologies are evolving, but knowing measured/actual white point reflection, black point reflection, contrast ratio, and colour gamut on especially TLCD displays (when not backlit) would be interesting.

Absolutely, they are implementing a matte top coat layer that doesn't obstruct to the reflective properties, very soon

I think it's just something someone has to sit down and see for themselves. Too bad Best Buy doesn't have a setup like this.

great video!. so in the TLCD the trade off is less backlight that causes you eye straining but at the same time have glare reflective screen?. The only way i see this growing is if e-ink technology refresh rate has reached its limit.

They said they will apply an antireflective film on the final units. The demo product in the video is not final yet.
