@@melodysafo5437I’m sure she feels this way, but honestly one thing you learn as an adult is that you can not quit every job because of “office politics”. No it’s not right for them to treat you that way and Yes it’s unfair, but you have to work through it. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger and you have to choose your battles. Just work hard at what you do and make sure that your work speaks for itself! I’m literally at a job as the only black woman in my department, but they know that I’m the best! I hope this encourages you guys and others that we can make it through anything.

@@kiaa-symone Whoever said “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” did not consider the negative effects of bullying (low self esteem, mental health issues, and suicide). We shouldn’t have to accept the mistreatment. And yea, we can quit our jobs and not go back due to bullying.

I’ve heard of doctors lawyers nurses google people leaving their careers to do “content creation.” People just don’t want a career anymore, but to work for self and earn more the easier ways. Ai will definitely take over. Makes me question where will humanity end up making a living? Reminds me of movie Idiocracy where humans were useless.

I had a similar high school experience! I went to a school that was predominately Latin/ Hispanic in NYC. Some of the kids there used to make fun of ANYTHING Black/ African. When I wore my hair natural (Afro) I got looks, laughter, & rude remarks. Even had a black boy & Hispanic girl take a pic of me. Those two demographics (black boys & Hispanic girls) always gave me trouble.

I always wondered how comfortable you were on the team. I remember my mom asking about you. She clocked how you were always in the back and I could feel how they didn’t seem welcoming to you even as an outsider. It made me not wanna audition for dance again after I didn’t make it the first time. Glad I was able to find my space in colorguard. Thankfully in colorguard they let the black girls do a high puff when we did high ponytails. I liked cheer in middle school but that same type of vibe is what made me not wanna cheer in high school. The picture thing must have rolled over from middle school bc they did that same thing in junior high. It was pretty isolating.
You were always good enough Britt. Glad you’re doing well now.

The saddest thing about this entire video is that, even years later, you struggled to call them what they were: rac!st. I mean one girl blatantly said the n-word, and they called the other black girl an oreo. She was a token, and nonblack ppl LOVE tokens. We as black ppl have to point out rac!sm, and call it by name, so the next generation will know how to handle it. Personally, I don't think black American parents should allow their children to join teams with predominantly nonblack ppl, unless you instill self-love in them and get real with them on how this country treats black ppl.

Yes this was me but i was at a blk HS. I was told since freshman year to shut up by the same girl when ever i was speaking and to get a relaxer. Even i was talking to someone else she still told me to shut up. It took my sophomore/junior year to say no, u shut up. She was so shocked that we almost threw hands. I was just like your not saying anything worth hearing so why do i need to be quiet? Nasty hearted prejudice people! Hurting young people is so cruel! The coaches are supposed to be examples but but some of them perpetuate the nasty, awful racism. My son was made to sit out so much it got me sooo angry and when he went to finals they put him in at the end and he killed it but it was too late to win!
