For anyone wondering, the candles replace the sensor bar. All the sensor bar does is emit light on opposite ends to allow motion controls to work. Candles emit a similar light and also allow the motion controls to work.
homebrew does jackshit if you dont install apps for it, even if you do, theres still a pretty high risk of it being bricked, the only thing that installs other apps with it is the 3DS version, not the wii one, ( assuming anton retro's tutorial is followed for 3ds homebrew )
I know that candles work, but why use them. Before you play a Wii game you have to go light the candles, then when your done you must blow them out. Candles burn out so you could be playing a game and all of the sudden you can’t use the Wii remote any more until you use a sensor or go get more candles. It’s like powering a console with batteries instead of plugging it in. If your sensor is broken then yeah sure it would work, but what the point just go to a video game store that sells retro video game supplies and buy one for less than 8$
I just noticed them an thought for mere dramatic effect they put candles around lol not realozong that they did not use the sensorbar but yeah for real I would rather the sensorbar be used vs use fire to play videogames because of how for an incandescent lightbulb or nowdays more of a halogen if a non cfl or led laml is used but still halogen or even the old tungsten in just vacuumed glass enclosures or even carbon filaments=carbonised common thread.. is better in my opinion vs gas fixture loghting so as to agaon eleiminate need for open flame albeit a fixture is not supposed to be I am guessing... close to anything combistible but yeah.. just my opinion.

No it has infrared lights at the end of the bars. Infrared lights are off of the spectrum for what colors humans can see. But the camera alters the colors allowing you to see the light.

@@Edp4455. well considering the Wii is on, you can connect it to the Wii and the sensors will release the infrared lights. Only Reason I see doing this candle trick is if you were playing Wii games on your laptop or computer and need the sensor, but even then you can just turn your Wii on , have the sensor connected and place it in front of your laptop. Have your wiimote connected as well and it’ll work. (I had to do this with skyward sword since you’re required to calibrate before playing.
I wish they made every Wii with the stand, I remember in 2009 getting my first Wii, it was a red new, super Mario Bros edition, and came with the og stand and a red Wii remote, The new Wii’s they made after that just wasn’t the same, also… NINTENDO! BRING BACK THE DS F THE SWITCH
