Of all my Bookers, the 2017-03 is almost my favorite unless I go back to a 2014 release. Yes, it is an acquired taste in Bourbons. Good Job. You restored my faith in Bourbon reviewers and I will have to buy more Bourbon.
I've never tried the Wathens but I have both the Bookers and the Michters 10. I couldn't choose between the 2. I greatly enjoy your vids. I look forward to watching more in 2018. Happy New Years!

Chad, every winner for you so far has been a Jim Beam product. Best $25 and under, Jim Beam Choice. Best $25-$50, Knob Creek, and now the Brookers. All Jim Beam products. Truth be told for me I have like them all to. I’m still sad they took away the green label ‘Choice’, it was such a good bourbon. Have a Bottle of Bookers 2016-06, fair at best and really did not want to buy another bottle of Bookers. With that said, after watching this, succumbed to the review and bought a bottle 2017-03, what the hell happened, this is not even close to being the same as the 2016, complex with a finish that actually blew my mind, minutes in and finish wont stop, legit review you guys, thanks.
Have had multiple bookers (not 25th or centercut though) and think they are too rough, and I like barrel proofers. But found a 2017-03 after this video and like it much more. ?placebo? dont know and dont care, thanks!
Glad to see the strong performance by Booker's! I have always loved Booker's/Knob Creek. For whatever reason the Michter's flavor profile has never scratched an itch for me.

Booker's has reached $74.99n here unfortunately.I did find Booker's 2017-4 in Nashville last week for the old price of $59.99. It's pretty tasty.Hard to go wrong with Booker's!

Swing through NE Arkansas and get all the 2017-04 you could want, it's everywhere. Not one single bottle of the -03 showed up but a short drive into the Missouri "bootheel" area took care of that. Very delightful bourbon
the thing We like Blanton's as much as the next person, and we are lucky enough to be able to find it around here if we visit enough stores, but it just didn't land in our top list this year. Now, if it were Blanton's Straight From The Barrel, then who knows! That stuff is amazing.
Guys, here's an odd question: Have you ever considered creating your own "bourbon" by infusing a good inexpensive bourbon like Evan Williams with trace amounts of the flavors you really like and reference in your tastings? For example, put a drop or two of vanilla extract, some maple, some other quality extracts of the things you like and see how the end product compares to your favorite premium bourbon. I know distillers can't do that (and still call it bourbon) but the consumer can. Again, I'm only talking about trace amounts to impart subtle flavor notes. I wonder how a blind tasting using an unsuspecting bourbon loving friend would result.
About the video (not the drinks): come on, lots of names and scores, etc..but there is NO use of any written description on the screen. e.g. top 3 = *1........ , *2........... , *3........... etc etc etc. It would make much easier for us to read about, search about, buy, etc....

I think it is but Beam doesn't release their mash bills. I like Booker's a little better, but for the lower price, Knob Creek is so good.

You have to compare the proof to proof like G T Stagg is 135 proof, some of the best there is.
