  • As I get better on the track, and I am improving leveling up from Novice to Intermediate, I am finding that I notice smaller details in riding on the track. The stock brake lever felt inconsistent throughout the course. I wanted to adjust the steering dampening. And I prefer not to have to use the key to refuel. All of these items are addressed in this episode as well as a unfortunate fall that broke the shift lever shifter rear set pin. Finally, we test ride the bike to see if everything is working properly.

@@scottsgaragehtx439 you get my wife to agree and then we can talk. She hated my bike.

Nice Video. Which brake reservoir mounting kit did you use? The universal brembo mounting kit hits the front cowl for me.

I'll take a look when I get home from the shop today and get back with you.

So, a couple of things. 1) V1Moto in Houston did my install. They had to install aftermarket switches to work with the RCS unit and brake lever. 2) the reservoir is suspended by a 3mmx3mm bracket attached to the damper rod end. It flexible and can be positioned in front of the fork tube. But, I literally have 1mm of clearance to the cowl.

Yeah, the universal kit has to be molded heavily to get any clearance. Rizoma makes these brackets that go inside the right clip on and I’m going to give it a shot and attach brake reservoir with long tygon tubing to go in MC.
Also, how’s the feel on RCS 19? As per my research, stock M50 calipers on our V2’s have 30 mm pistons and Brembo recommends RCS17 instead of 19. I’m going with RCS 19 as well for a more firm feel. I hope it’s not a wooden feel.

The feel is firm and linear to me. But most importantly, consistent. Also, you did match the caliper to the lever? I have the plunger with the red facing up and the selector on R for race.

Have you been to a track with this setup? I’m using the lever that came with RCS 19 kit.
