    Thank you for
    the lovely tips. Can i use dried lemon peels instead of orange peels. And can we follow this when growing all vegetables?

    Any easy method to make leaf compost from dried leaves that can be added directly to ground as manure? Also can mulching be done for even small plants growing in ground? Can neem leaves be added instead of citrus peels to avoid fungal attacks?

    • @thebudgetgardener
      @thebudgetgardener  2 года назад

      Yes I have already made a video on leaf mould. Yes neem leaves can also be used, but citrus peels along with the mulching, pest repellent it's a nutritionally rich fertiliser too.

    Looking for great way to use coconut husk and its inner soft coir..any easy way to use that instead of buying cocopeat?

    • @thebudgetgardener
      @thebudgetgardener  2 года назад +1

      Yes definitely let it completely dry, spread it and use in the lower most layer of the pot for good drainage and nice moisture retention. Even it can be used nicely as land scaping, check few videos on coastal area farming.

    Very good video, you are very practical ,it helps beginners. My worry with earthworms is that they will run all over the house and family will not tolerate. We have heavy monsoons ,in south Gujarat ,at that time lots of earthworms come out from the earth and roam around. How do you control them

    • @thebudgetgardener
      @thebudgetgardener  2 года назад

      Nothing to worry, try raising the pots from the floor during monsoon. Earthworm comes out either the soil is too dry or too wet.
