There are some corners in which you can feel a dip in the track and use it as a reference, corners in which you could use the car position as reference (for example to brake the moment the car is pointing straight), another option is the horizon line (looking at the car yaw rate in regards with the horizon line), you can also use the sound as a reference (braking at certain RPM sounds) - so a lot of options, but in the end you still have to force yourself to absorb more information to your brain from Visual References! You can do that by driving slow laps and just focus to take in as much visuals as you can, while not focusing on other senses.
