My Daughter loved Magic Attic dolls and we ended up with 4. She and her friends played for hours with their dolls. Thank you for this video - so informative!
Thank you for sharing! I have one that I picked up from the thrift store. Now I know what to look for as far as clothes and accessories go. Thanks again!
I was looking at Tonner outfits just to look and by chance saw my beautiful Heather! I found in a thrift shop and didn’t have a clue what doll she was! I was elated to see she is a Tonner doll!! Thank you for this video!
My mother's magic attic collection is 98% complete. It is our understanding from Georgetown contacts that Robert Tonner designed all the clothing for the dolls - even after they were purchased by Charisma. I also understand that he may have even done the new sculpts for those dolls, too.
I recently got Heather, she is beautiful and of great quality, every video you upload is so interesting, Kathy is amazing, I love to see the love that other people have for dolls, it is a magical world.
Awww so sweet! I remember going through the catalog with my friend in the 90s. She was trying to convince her parents to get her one because they were cheaper than AG and thought she’d have a better chance at a yes. I’m pretty sure AGs were $83 at the time, then $88 not too long after
This was fascinating, thank you both! I think the magic attic dolls are adorable, hopefully I’ll be lucky to acquire a few once I have more space in my doll room 😅 I learned a lot, thank you again!
These dolls are so sweet! I hope to track some down soon. Kathy is so good at discussing her collections. So informative! Thanks Rachel for this program. 🙏🥰
Always loved these dolls and bought all of them for my daughter including porcelain Heather. I just sold Rose because my daughter no longer wants them but I’ve decided I’m adding them to my collection! Now just have to find room to display them and they can come out of their boxes
I got a Megan (1996) from a toy store because her red hair is so pretty! Then I found the others-sold them but kept Megan. The holiday outfits were gorgeous-velvet and actually rather mature for a child doll. The thing I liked over AG is that they are all vinyl-I liked to take my doll in the bath as a child and AG can not do that. Great video-didn't know about the trunk and the bedroom sets. Thanks!
Yes!! And I've seen them a thousand times, your brother's collection is very beautiful. ❤ What I meant was, with her collection. I can only imagine Kathy's incredible and amazing collection, all her treasures and knowledge like in this video would be great. ❤
I was fortunate to get a Rose doll several years ago. I found out she was Native American and, I was hooked. I am part Native American American and, as a child never had a play doll that was Native. I have to dig out the box that she came in to see if her native dress is in there.
My friend had a Magic Attic Doll when the rest of us had AG dolls. I always felt bad for her because her doll's head fell off and wouldn't stay on. The head was haphazardly held on with scrapbooking glue dots that didn't really hold. She had to play with her very carefully.
Magic Attic dolls are so cute. My favorite 18 inch doll is the Mme Alexander 18 inch. I like the chest plate rather than all cloth. While I like American Girl I don't have any. I may add a Magic Attic to my collection. Great video. Right now I have a 50s Ginny that needs some tlc. Stay well and safe.
Megan was the first one she got from her grandma. In the yellow jumper dress. We have the 96 heather and the Allison right next to here have the 2001 Chloe and we have Rose in the green jumper dress before she became rosa. we had Keisha but we gave her to a girl relative. our daughter was 8 when they came out and grandma got the girls each a doll for Christmas that year. Rachel saved her money to buy the next one and it just went on from there. We still have them. I saw the Chloe sold for $610 on eBay but I don't know why
The native American outfit for rose with the assccories is Alot like Kaya American Girl. Seeing that rose was before Kaya. It's possible that Pleasant company copied magic Attic with her outfit and pieces
I need to see a video from her on how to re string these dolls! I have loved them for almost thirty years!
She has one on her RUclips channel: ruclips.net/video/gTj__A7dv4E/видео.html

Glad you like them!
I was born in 2002 I have never heard of these dolls. I did have 10 American Girl dolls growing up. But I do love the faces on these dolls!

LOVE THIS LINE!!!! So glad to see you cover them, always had the most amazing details in the clothes and accessories
I think They have the best faces on this size dolls, very tempting... 😍🥰😘
I think they're prettier, and have a more realistic size and shape of head. Too bad they're discontinued

I love my Megan ❤️ thanks for this 😍
Loved this! Carpatina is another 18 inch slim doll from that time. I would love to see something similar on those, I wonder if Kathy has any.
Or Stardust Classics! Thanks for the

Great video, really enjoyed watching this collection & information 😊 Have you seen Tonner’s penny and friends collection that are a similar 18” doll?

Cute little dolls 😊
Sweet dolls💖
I actually did find one in a thrift store for $2. In the original clothes. Sold it online because we already had her but I couldn't leave her there
I found a Magic Attic doll in a thrift store, Keisha!
I would love to see a video about Gotz happy kidz dolls!
Not my field nor do I have any ; but very interesting to see these dolls . Did they come to Canada. Cheers from Calgary, Canada
Keisha is such a beautiful doll.
I had one as a child in Canada during the 1990s!
Correction - Chloe received the DOTY award the year she was released.

I have Keisha from magic attic doll in my doll collection
Chloes hair is amazing though. It's so thick
What year was the native American doll released? Cause before American Girl released Kaya
Are these dolls made of resin or vinyl?
🥰
🙋♀️❤
✋
It's possible that American Girl Made magic Attic changed Rose to being Hispanic because Kaya is native American.
