    You had a ball doing this and I had fun watching you. I learned about the game and I can see that you’re very into the miniatures and that aspect of it as well. Entertaining and full of joy. Happy gaming.😊

    Great Video! And thanks for the tipps with the map. Going to use Perilous Shores for my first world map soon!

      My pleasure and many thanks for the comment! If you're planning to modify and update the map like me you may need to get hold of suitable icons for settlements, delves and other locations. I am using 2-Minute Tabletop tokens and icons on the emptied Perilous Shores map

    Thanks - another really helpful video and those map generator suggestions were awesome. Thanks!

    I had anticipated the undead aka Acheron, but learning it is my favorite faction - the wretched little ones, the Dwarves of Mid-Nor - made me wish to do this even more! The Abyss likes!
    Maybe that mad cult of war (?) could have been Alchemists of Dirz in case you have those, but I will try to watch the two campaign episodes as well and see what's going on.

    • @IthaquasBane
      @IthaquasBane  2 года назад

      Mid Nor were always my fave army, just loved the designs and theme. Didn't collect the Acheron (budget only allowed for so many armies..... how many armies did I collect??? 10 armies IIRC and just couldn't afford number 11!!). My Dirz collection could possibly work for the Curse of War, but I think the Bestiarum Man-Eaters just fit the Curse of War so much better!! 👹

    • @ganzgrosseskino
      @ganzgrosseskino 2 года назад +1

      Bestiarum always are a great choice!
      I had been a collector of sorts when it comes to Confrontation since running monthly tournaments kept me very engaged and I was always keen to try out new things. Getting some freebies along the way for being a supporter both helped and drew me in even further (oh, just two more blisters and I could run this!) and after Rackham folded I later found a French company that seemed to be liquidating their stock and closed some more gaps in the collection (but I still hardly have any Daikinee and many other great sculpts have been eluding me 😩)...

    • @ganzgrosseskino
      @ganzgrosseskino 2 года назад +1

      Acheron were my first army and I always got mauled pretty badly because I was still learning the game, but one of those days during a tournament in my favorite store during a break I saw that the new Drune faction had arrived and so I put all their releases on the counter and thanks to the Formor fiends being so costly it even was an army of sorts (though a barely functioning one, but I was happy because they looked amazing! 😅)

      @@ganzgrosseskino I saw a Griffin Thallion pack whilst browsing some online store waaaaaay back when v2 just released, and just fell in love with the design, purchased it and an Executioner pack I think. I tend to collect the non-normal armies for most games I play, the unique designs or stories, the armies that no-one else plays..... and once that was done I started collecting the rest hahaha. This is why I'm having a hard time finding... 'normal' humans or goblins, orcs etc for games like 5LFB!!

      @@ganzgrosseskino I did the same thing back in the day with Dark Age. Ran a lot of events, got freebies which just fed the addiction and led to more purchases hahaha. I have soooo many bloody Puds running around!!

    Hey, this looks really cool, I’m just getting into this game myself… looking forward to catching up on all your videos on this over the next few days!
    One small question though (and I absolutely LOVE the way you do your maps)… should the delve you rolled up as part of your character creation started off as hidden?

    • @IthaquasBane
      @IthaquasBane  2 года назад

      Many thanks for watching and commenting...... and I believe you are right about the Hidden Delve!! Well spotted!! I shall update the map before the next CT. Cheers and hope you have fun with the game 😁

      Bystone is the surname of the warband leader... rolled randomly on an online generator!!

    An other suggestion for the map is to use an plain map without the grid then slap on an grid png with larger hexes in photoshop. Say for your map the larger grid only have 10 or so larger hexes then you have space to put more points in each hex if that makes sense.

    • @IthaquasBane
      @IthaquasBane  2 года назад

      Yep that makes a lot of sense and I did consider it. You'd need to consider the number of hexes, since there are occasions when you need to use new Wilderness areas, so you'd need to make sure you have enough to cover new additions and yet have the hexes large enough if you want to put icons inside. I reckon I will just put the ID numbers once a hex has too many icons. Many thanks for the idea!

      @@IthaquasBane Your welcome :) I was thinking a bit more on it and if you put an square grid over the map thats 6x6 squares you can also use dice to random roll where the location is on the grid. :) I probly go this way.

    • @IthaquasBane
      @IthaquasBane  2 года назад

      @@ghostwalker85 That would work really well. I'll probably go for a less random method of positioning new locations where possible, but that idea is well worth considering! Have you posted the idea on the FB group?

      @@IthaquasBane I have not. Just thought about it when i saw your video. I use inkarnate for my first map but feel like an cleared Perilous Shore map with that larger grid would work better. Need to sit down this weekend and remake my campaign :)

  • @1crlski

    Good luck in your campaign, every one of the batreps I've watched for this game has been brutal with lots of casualties for the good guys, I equate it to trying to play Diablo 1 or 2 (original not the censored one) on nightmare difficulty with level 1 characters...it's the lack of offensive spells and the lack of ranged weapons, 2 out of 6 characters only getting them is going to hurt, can you equip more members with them later in the game?

    • @IthaquasBane
      @IthaquasBane  2 года назад +1

      The restriction on ranged weapons only applies in warband creation, more WILL be added later!! I think the general rule is to keep in groups... and then die a little less often. It does look to be more deadly than 5PFH!! Reckon I will be using Story Points and Will a lot more. Have a bunch of minis to get painted then can start on the next video.
