    I really want to give this a try, I have no painting or drawing skills, but I can trace like a champ. This seems totally do-able.

    Absolutely! So many of us are so much more comfortable holding a marker than a paint bottle or brush. And it's a beautiful effect once you're done. Give it a try!

      Hi there, great question! Our fabric markers are a premium quality ink that resist fading - even after multiple machine washes.

    For the paper you used with the dress design on it, did you sketch that or print it off? If you printed it, I would love to know where you got it from!
    Thanks for the tutorial, it's so cool!

    This is a lovely technique!Can you do this on synthetic blend fibers? I have a dress I’d love to personalize. Thanks in advance ❤️

    A question was asked but I don't see the answer .... can this be washed? How? Is there a way to make the design permanent when completed?

      Hi there ... yes, once the design has completely dried, it can be washed ... We recommend waiting at least 24 hours before washing to make sure your design has completely set. While the ink is wet, you can apply water over it to create watercolor effects as Pattie shows in the video, but once the design dries, it is permanent.

    can we use these tulip fabric Markers on silk scarf? Thanks

      Hi Kieu ... Yes, you can use Tulip Fabric Markers on a silk scarf. Make sure to put something underneath the scarf as you are working so you don't get any ink stains on your work surface. Good luck!

      Thanks for the tips! Will it give you water mark as well on silk?

      Kieu Pham Hi there ... there's a good chance the color will bleed. We recommend testing first on a scrap fabric to see how the markers will react on silk.

    Can you use sharpies and alcohol instead of fabric markers and water?

      Hi Jenna ... To be honest, we've never tried using Sharpies and alcohol, so we're not sure if this would work or not. We recommend contacting Sharpie and asking them if they recommend this technique with alcohol. Good luck!

      @TulipColorCrafts  6 лет назад +2

      Yes, absolutely! Once the marker ink sets, it's permanent and machine washable on gentle cycle.

      Hi there ... yes! Tulip Fabric Markers are permanent and machine washable on fabric once dry. We suggest waiting at least 72 hours before washing (after creating your design). Please let us know if you have any other questions!

    Does wax paper work the same as freezer paper

    • @ilovetocreate6868
      @ilovetocreate6868 9 лет назад +3

      Brandon Davis Hi Brandon ... Sorry for the late reply! You'll want to use freezer paper for this project because you can place it waxy side up under your fabric then iron over it to melt the wax and create a temporary hold on the fabric. Wax paper won't work the same way. We hope this helps!

    if we wash the shirt, will it come off??

    • @TulipColorCrafts
      @TulipColorCrafts  6 лет назад

      Hi there ... no Tulip Fabric Markers dry permanently on fabric and are machine washable once the ink sets, so your design will remain intact! =)

    I used a black Tulip fabric marker on a teal blue tee shirt. I sprayed it with 1/2 bottle of rubbing alcohol and...Nothing? What did I do wrong?

      Alcohol is for Sharpies, this is for Tulip markers with water, and likely you have to water-brush before the marker ink dries.
